"Your mother makes it difficult."
Elizabeth laughed. "She makes everything difficult."
"True."
He kissed her forehead. "Go marry your frightening man."
"He is not frightening."
Mr. Bennet raised an eyebrow. "To you."
At the church Darcy waited.
Elizabeth saw him.

Alive.
Hers.
Again.
She thought of an old man beside a snowy window.
