Cutter looked toward the hidden inlet.

“This is my harbor, Rook. My home. You boys aren’t fighting this alone.”

Rook studied him.

Cutter had given them a headquarters.

New identities.

Transportation.

A place to disappear.

Now he had driven a tug into gunfire and helped them steal a ship.

“Thank you,” Rook said.

Cutter looked uncomfortable.

“You hit your head during the raid?”

“I’m serious.”

“That’s why I’m concerned.”

The corner of Rook’s mouth twitched.

Cutter nodded toward the deck.

“How’s Shark?”

“Angry.”

“So he’s fine.”

“The bullet passed through his shoulder without striking bone. He’ll be out of field operations until the wound closes.”

“How did he take that?”

“He threatened the doctor.”

“Definitely fine.”

Cutter started toward the gangway.

Rook remained beside the railing.
