She rounded the corner, and she had bags from all of her favorite stores. I didn’t hold my breath as she maneuvered past me as if she didn’t know whose house she walked into. Not thinking about me and my daughter was cool but understand where the hell you were and who was making it possible for you to flex the way you were.
“Aviana, I advise you to realize where you at and get some act right.”
“What you mean by that?” I chuckled and cocked my head to the side wearing a menacing smirk. “Oh, hey baby.”
I took the menu and exited the kitchen. I wasn’t the kind of man to put my hands on women or even talk to them in a derogatory manner. I was raised by my grandparents and my grandmother was shown the upmost respect from my grandfather, so I tried to mimic his traits in every way. Avi pushed my buttons one too many times and now was one of them.
“Baby where are you going? I was just getting settled before I spoke.”
“Aviana, I really ain’t in the mood for you right now. I got to take care of my daughter.”
“My daughter will be fine while we have a five-minute conversation. What’s the issue?”
The way she put emphasis on the word my rubbed me wrong, but I had something for her ass. I loved the hell out of my princess, but Aviana would soon see who was the one giving her countless breaks from her creation.
“There isn’t one love.”
I made my way upstairs to the master bedroom where my MacBook was still on the bed where I left it this morning. I quickly logged into the bank account set up for her and turned the cards off. Today was the last day she was going to eat off me and not acknowledge my existence. She had me bent.
Afterward, I proceeded to purchase food for only me and Akeera. She was out all day and didn’t think about the people she lived with not once, so I had nothing for her in return. From this day forward she was going to have to pull her weight or get the hell on and I stood behind everything I said.

“I’m surprised you still got her around bro. She ain’t the same Avi we met years ago.”
“You think I haven’t noticed that either. She really on some selfish junk and I’m not fooling with it. She got nothing but time on her hands now because she ain’t got access to my money no more.”
“That’s another argument you’re going to have to make it through once she realizes that. My thing is Akeera’s lil’ pretty self loves the fuck out of her mama. I don’t see how you let her act like my niece don’t exist.”
“To be honest, I do my part and let Akeera feel how she feels regarding her mom. I know my woman and calling her out about her wrong doings won’t bring nothing but havoc and unwanted chaos to my household. For now, Akeera gets all the love she needs from me and she’s content. I’m not trying to mess that up for my baby.”
“You better than me in so many ways. I would’ve kicked her out and sorry to say it, my niece would’ve had to go too. My heart would’ve broken in two the entire time though. I can’t cap about that.”
I wasn’t trying to think about anything of that nature. Akeera had a stable home with me, and I wasn’t going to interrupt her happiness all because her mother wanted to do everything under the sun instead of taking a few hours out of her day to find out what makes our daughter happy.
“It is what it is for now. Let’s go in here and make this paper. I could use a few. Don’t get in here and show out Dex. I ain’t got time for that tonight.”
“Nigga please. I am the show.”
He stepped out of the ride first and I followed suit shaking my head. The rest of the crew joined us, and we made our way to the door where the bouncer was already waiting on our arrival. The time read nine-fifteen with us making it in that thirty-minute grace period.
We were given instructions on where to go once we got inside and then gave bracelets to wrap around our wrists. I declined mine and gave it to the young lady waiting behind the ropes. Once I stepped out these doors, I didn’t plan on going back in.
Finally, we were granted access inside and the walls were being held up by the nigga from how many people were in attendance. I smiled when I saw the strippers and how well they were putting on a show. It was something about the strippers in Max Peeks that hit different from the ones in Reedsburg.
The DJ noticed us in a matter of no time and shed the spotlight on us creating a scene. The screams started and I just wanted to get to the section and relax. This was Dex’s scenery, not mine. However, I carried the name, as well as fame, so I was the one requested.
“Bottles and shit should be on the house. I sent Los to check it out,” Dex put in my ear as we maneuvered through the crowd.
I wasn’t paying attention to none of the groupies craving my attention but there was one that caught my eye. In that split second, I was moved by how she set back and waited for me to reach her. She didn’t approach me like the others and that’s what made her different. I smirked and kept it pushing. Where we were positioned on the stage, I had the perfect view of her.
The music kept flowing and she didn’t bother to turn around the way her two friends did. She was in her own world, and I appreciated that. I also appreciated the way her curves unwillingly drove a nigga crazy.
As a bigger woman, she radiated with confidence. From the way she grooved, to the way she turned down men left and right, I knew she wasn’t the typical insecure BBW. She was very aware of how beautiful she was.
“Stop staring nigga. I know she can feel that shit.” Dex brought me out of my trance, and I took the shot he was extending.
“Find out her name for me.”
