“You should be.”
I laughed.
Chrissy rolled onto her side.
I pulled the sheet over both of us.
She traced one finger along my chest.
“That was different.”
“Yes.”
“I liked it.”
“I noticed.”
Her brows drew together.
“Don’t be smug.”
“You were smug first.”
“That was before you flipped me onto my back.”
“I remember.”
She laughed softly.
Then the laughter faded.
Her finger stopped moving.
“What is it?”
Chrissy looked down.
“I don’t know.”
I waited.
She took a breath.
“It’s this.”
I didn’t interrupt.
“The way you want me still scares me a little.”
She met my gaze.
I touched her hair.
“Because it’s fast?”
“That’s part of it.”
