“What the—come on, I don’t want you to be late for your boyfriend,” he said to Don, who winked at Isaac, who started laughing.
“Bart’s good, he’s coming over for dinner which reminds me I need to get.”
“Just for dinner?” Isaac asked just loud enough anyone within the next block would have heard him, and I didn’t give one care about it.
“Maybe, or maybe more.”
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t,” he warned.
“Oh, believe me I won’t,” I said and climbed into the truck. After deciding if pizza would be good, I drove to the store and ran in to grab three. They were frozen, but it meant more time alone with him. I said hello to everyone I knew and hurried out of a few conversations before paying and jogging to my truck.
I pulled up to my house just as Bart pulled up from the other direction. He was out of his truck and in my arms before I had time to unbuckle. “I’ve missed you so much.” His lips were on mine, and his tongue pressed into my mouth.
“Well hello,” I finally said when he backed off just enough for me to take a breath.
“We’re not leaving so I hope there’s a place that delivers.”
“I picked up some frozen pizza,” I said and he looked past me at the grocery bag on the seat before grabbing it.
“I’ll put it in the oven, you go shower,” he said before walking right in because of course I didn’t lock my door.
Hank waved from across the street where he was grilling just as his wife walked over and handed him a beer. “Looks like we’re all having a good night tonight.”
“Keith?” Bart said from the door as he held it open.
“Sorry, I was waving at Hank.” That was all I got out before he shoved me against the closed door and kissed me hard while unbuckling my belt then unbuttoning my pants. “Wait, I should shower.”
“Can’t wait,” Bart said and yanked down my pants and boxers. Without any warning he swallowed me down while caressing my balls.
“Bart,” I groaned, my fingers clenched in his hair. There was no way I’d last long. After we’d talked, I’d thought of nothing but him and after that kiss, well—With a grunt I came. “You’re trying to kill me again.”
“Nope, but I will be tapping that ass later.”
“Good to know,” I panted.
“Take a shower, I’ll get the pizza’s going,” he said like he hadn’t just rocked my world.
“Thanks, for everything.” I looked at my now soft dick.
“You can thank me again later.” He waved me off and read the directions on the pizza, and this is how it was with us. The guy I thought was so innocent and naïve had shown me many times how wrong I was. He also wasn’t the fish out of water he had been when he arrived here that spring day a few months ago. Now he didn’t flinch about any job on the farm, and he worked just as hard as Asa and Noah.
“I love you,” I said. I hadn’t meant to, but it was true. I loved every little thing about him.
“Good, because I love you too.” He walked over and kissed me before smacking my ass and shoving me toward the bathroom. “Dinner will be ready when you’re done.”
I loved him, and in the end all that mattered was he loved me back.
Thirty-Five
Bart
Four months later
“Is everyone ready?” I asked because I really fucking hated this part.
“Let ’er rip,” Asa cheered from the back of the truck. We were in Keith’s work truck because it had a dual cab and Asa and Don wanted to revisit the one place they remembered from their younger days that they’d never gotten to go back to.
“Can’t we go up the back way?” I asked one more time because I had already asked about twenty times.
