“You need me to go with you?”

“No, it’s fine. Just grab my purse and meet me at the front door.” I didn’t wait on a response just followed in the direction I seen Lloyd move in.

He never came back to work, and I have been searching for him. I needed to know where Wylder was and end all this shit once and for all. Stepping quickly, I could see the back of his jacket as he brushed through the crowded room. I kept my eyes trained on him until he darted out the back door.

“Lloyd?” I yelled before he made it completely out of it. He glanced back but kept moving. Stepping faster in my stilettos I rushed out the door behind him. “Lloyd! Lloyd!” I yelled as he rushed toward an alley. I was hot on his heels. I wasn’t scared of his weird ass in the least bit because he was such a fuckin’ push over in the office. “Lloyd?” I yelled one final time just as we made it to the trash cans of the alley. He turned around quickly and tossed his mask in the can.

“Why are you running? Where the fuck is Wylder?”

“Oh, Hi Blythe.” He spoke with a weird expression.

“Hi Blythe? Are you crazy? I just asked you a damn question. And where the hell have you been?”

“Around. You look very pretty tonight.” He looked me up and down.

“Where the fuck is Wylder, Lloyd? And why were you in my damn house?”

“We were looking for you. He’s my cousin and he asked me to help find you.”

“Your cousin? What the hell. Where is he? Why are you avoiding my question. I swear to God Lloyd, you are pissing me off. If he wants me tell me where he is right damn now.”

“I’m right here Bee bee.” Turning around Wylder stood in the dark alley. My reaction wasn’t quick enough because before I knew it a towel was held to my face and I gagged before my body weakened and I slumped in one of their grasps.

Chapter Twenty-Three

PHARAOH

“Where Blythe?” I made it back to Jah. He was moving his fingers across his phone. He looked like he was deep in a conversation because his text was a paragraph long. But only his side has messages. No responses.

“She went to the bathroom. You good? We bout to be out.”

“Yea I’m straight. I’m bout to be out too. This got damn girl man!”

“Who, Autumn?”

“Yea. She ain’t answering her phone. I swear I ain’t dealt with no bull shit like this since high school.” I chuckled at how stressed he looked. “I’m out.” He stood and prepared to dap me up.

“Wait for us, we can walk out together.” I looked toward the bathroom doors expecting Blythe to be walking this way. It had been a minute, and she should have been done cleaning herself up. “I’ma go grab her.” Walking toward the women’s bathroom I could see a line of women waiting to go in. I scanned the faces, none of them her.

“Yo did y’all see a chick in a gold dress go in there?” I asked no one in particular.

“No.” They spoke shaking their heads and looking around. I barged in not giving a fuck about them being mad or yelling for me to get out.

“B? You still in here? B?” Everyone was looking at me like I lost my mind, but something was telling me shit wasn’t right.

“I seen a girl running out the back door a little bit ago. She looked like she was chasing a guy.”

“Which way?” I asked the girl getting too damn close for comfort. She backed up and pointed. I took off the way she told me. Bursting through the back door. I scanned the area not seeing anyone in sight. I moved quickly down the walkway and towards the alley. It was quiet as fuck for it to be Halloween night. Nobody around.

Preparing to run back inside and see if she somehow walked by me, I scanned the area one last time. Out the corner of my eye I noticed something glowing in the middle of the alley. Walking towards it I realized it was Blythe’s mask. Panick took over my body, and I pulled out my phone to call her.

I ran back inside to grab my brother so we can find her ass. I knew I should have went with her, something told me not to let her out of my sight. I know she was stressing about the guy that raped her coming back to see her and I still let her go to the bathroom alone.

“Fuck!” I yelled out as soon as I got to the door. Moving through the crowd quickly I didn’t give a fuck that I was pushing muthafuckas out my way. My fuckin’ girl was missing, and I had to find her fast.

“What happened?” Jah looked up noticing the stress on my face.

“We gotta go now! I think somebody took B.”
