They peeled off clothes and in mere seconds they were both naked and sprawled on the cottage’s king-sized bed. A furry blanket akin to bear skin covered the bed and Morgan loved the soft, fuzzy feel of it on her back. She loved the hard, muscled feel of Sawyer’s body atop hers even more.

“Are you cold?” he asked. “I can start a fire.”

She shook her head. “Not cold now. Fire later.” That was the extent of her English capabilities at the moment. Right now, she was all about wrapping herself around Sawyer like she’d wanted to since the last time they’d been in this position.

Sawyer kissed a trail from her mouth along her neck to between her breasts. He teased each one until tight buds formed and each stroke of his tongue sent shockwaves throughout Morgan’s entire body. Moving farther south, he pressed hot, wet kisses along her ribs and stomach, massaging her thighs as his hands moved to spread her legs.

“Fuck, you’re beautiful.” His eyes were dazed, his lips plumped from their kissing, and he looked like a sex-hungry god about to eat his fill. He lowered his head and licked a path up her left thigh while he plunged a finger into her ready core. A low groan rumbled in his throat and Morgan nearly came from the sound.

Sawyer teased her with his fingers and mouth until she quivered with so much desire she feared she’d blow up like a Fourth of July firework. Finally, he sheathed himself with the condom he’d taken to the bed after they’d shed their clothes.

“Glad I didn’t leave the club early,” Morgan said.

“Why were you going to leave early?”

“I wasn’t having any fun.”

He arched one dark eyebrow, a sexy-as-hell grin on his lips. “And now?”

“Fun times a million.” She pulled him down for a kiss as he slowly slid into her.

Within moments, they were moving in time together and the friction was oh-so-right. Sawyer had major skills when it came to sex, but this right here? This joining of their bodies was some next-level shit. Maybe it had to do with all the time she’d spent pleasuring herself by watching him on the ice on TV. Perhaps that had primed her in a way that made the real thing with Sawyer right now an advanced stage of sexual chemistry and energy. Whatever was going on, Morgan was all for it.

Sawyer ravaged her mouth as he thrust into her, his hands on either side of her head as he held himself up. His arms were long lines of toned muscles that flexed as he led them to the brink of something earth shattering.

Morgan’s hands roamed along his chiseled chest. She wanted to both push Sawyer away so she could watch his every movement as he came undone and pull him close to enjoy more of his skin against her skin. She coasted her hands over his shoulders and down his arms, loving how his flesh goosebumped under her touch.

“I’ve thought about being with you again,” Sawyer said as he pumped into her.

“You have?” As much as she’d dreamed about being with him again? Morgan didn’t see how that was possible.

“I actually haven’t been with anyone since then.” He straightened his arms slightly so he could see her face.

“I haven’t been with anyone since then either,” she admitted.

A solid five seconds ticked by in silence as they regarded each other, then Sawyer picked up his motion and they were back to riding the train to a climax Morgan knew wouldn’t disappoint.

That was why she hadn’t been with anyone since Sawyer. She didn’t like disappointment.

Sawyer shifted his angle a bit, driving deeper into Morgan with each thrust. Yeah, his memories of being with her had not been exaggerated. Her body was incredible. Being surrounded by her made him not want to be anywhere else. Add in how positively she’d responded to his news of Nia with total understanding, and he was convinced he’d been right to tell her about his daughter.

Normally, he kept Nia a secret. He was afraid that news of her existence would leak to the public and completely destroy any chance he might have of convincing Carina to give him more time with his daughter. With Morgan, however, he’d been almost . . . compelled to share Nia. He knew she wouldn’t go blabbing all over the place. She could have done that about being with him when they’d hooked up a few months ago.

But she hadn’t.

He’d had a few other women boast about scoring with him and that pretty much guaranteed he wouldn’t make another date with them. He wasn’t looking for someone who only wanted a relationship with Sawyer Lundin, RI Anchors center forward. He was more interested in a woman who wanted to get to know all of him.

Was Morgan that woman? She hadn’t freaked out over the fact that he had a daughter. That was a step in the right direction. Wasn’t it? Sawyer was never quite sure who to trust. His teammates were solid friends. Teddy had consistently been there for him. His mom and sister were always on his side. That was pretty much the extent of his list though. He’d trusted Carina in the early stages of their relationship, but that trust had been tested and it had failed. Would the same happen if he let Morgan into his world?

Much too heavy thoughts. Especially considering he was buried to the hilt in Morgan at the moment.

Sawyer recommitted to getting Morgan to chant his name by increasing his pace and devouring her mouth in a molten kiss. Her core squeezed around him and he was a goner.

“Sawyer . . .” Morgan’s eyelids fluttered as she climaxed and Sawyer had never seen anything so damn beautiful.

He’d meant what he’d said about thinking about being with Morgan again. Not simple fleeting thoughts either. No. Try like every fucking day. He’d had opportunities to hook up since he’d been with her, but he’d found reasons not to partake. He’d been tired. He’d been late to another engagement. He’d had practice. He’d . . . damn, he couldn’t remember all the stories he’d told to not have sex.
