“I see.” She slid her hands under his T-shirt, her fingertips scraping pleasantly along his abs. “What other maneuvers do you have?”
“Oh, baby . . .”
Turned out couch sex with Morgan was as phenomenal as tied-up sex, bedroom sex, and shower sex. Sawyer had definite plans on this trip to see what other kinds of sex they were good at.
Once they were settled on the couch again, Sawyer found a sci-fi movie Morgan had agreed to watch. All this and the woman was cool with watching sci-fi? He had to pinch his own nipple to confirm he was still among the living again. He also didn’t see how he could watch anything on TV without Morgan cuddled to his side like she was right now.
In the glow of the TV, the one lamp they had on, and the light coming from the fire, the Pegasus caught his eye. The flickering from the flames in the fireplace made shadows dance along the carved contours of the winged horse. It looked alive and in motion.
“That is some amazing craftsmanship.” He pointed to the Pegasus.
Morgan raised her head a little to look in its direction. “Yeah. That was a cool shop. I need to go back in there.”
“Did you see more you liked?”
“A few things, actually. And Trixie was so nice.”
“We can stop back in there,” he said. “I’m sure Nia won’t mind checking out the toy shop again.” He angled his head at the Pegasus. “It needs paint though. Don’t you think so?”
She didn’t answer right away. Instead, Morgan regarded the Pegasus for several silent moments.
“I . . . I could paint it.” She looked up at him. “If you want me to.”
“That would be great. I have zero artistic ability.”
A full smile bloomed on Morgan’s lips now and she walked her fingers up his chest. “I don’t think that’s true. Some of the things you did to me in the shower should definitely be considered an art form.”
“And that was with only one arm.” He held up his cast. “Wait until I can get two hands on you again.”
Morgan closed her eyes for a moment and bit her bottom lip. When she opened her eyes again, she lifted a hand to run a fingertip along the healing scratches on his cheek.
“Have you been injured before?”
He almost didn’t answer because the tender way she caressed him right now stole his breath away. He could easily envision a scenario where they took care of each other . . . in sickness and in health.
Sawyer hit that crazy notion with a mental hockey stick. Way too soon to have that banging around his skull.
“Yeah, I’ve gotten lots of cuts and bruises, broke fingers, wrenched my knee. Nothing too major.” He leaned forward and knocked on the coffee table’s wooden top. “Those have all been on-ice injuries though.” He gestured to his arm. “Nothing like a random truck plowing into me.”
“And those are all your real teeth?” She pointed to his mouth.
He chuckled. “Yup. Every one of them.” He hooked her hair behind her ear then took her earlobe between his teeth, tugging gently. Releasing her, he said, “All the better to devour you, baby.”
“Such a Big Bad Wolf.” She turned her head to kiss him. “Fortunately for you, I like big, bad wolves.”
If it wasn’t downright frigid outside, Sawyer would go out there and howl at the moon over how truly fortunate he felt.

Morgan’s hand tightened on the steering wheel of Sawyer’s SUV as she drove to Austin’s house. She imagined all the ways her brother would try to uncover some dark side to Sawyer. He’d done that to a few guys she’d let him meet before she’d stop letting him meet them. Then Austin complained she never introduced him to someone she’d been seeing.
Brothers.
“Hey.” Sawyer tapped her elbow resting on the center console. “You’re awfully quiet.”
Morgan glanced his way then put her gaze back on the road. The streets were a little slushy with melting snow, but otherwise the driving was easy. She hoped that would still be the case as they neared Austin’s place which was on a dirt road.
“I’m preparing my apologies for how my brother may act,” she said.
