Apparently his dick realized the need to recharge though because the next thing Sawyer became conscious of was bright sunshine spilling into the living room. He blinked against it, his brain slowly registering that Morgan was no longer sharing space with him.

“Morgan?” He sat up, letting the flannel blanket still covering him pool on the couch cushion.

“In the bathroom,” she called.

Sawyer meandered in that direction, finding her naked and finger-combing her hair. She was a fucking goddess in the morning. Assuming it was still morning.

“What time is it?” He leaned against the bathroom door frame.

“A little after eleven,” Morgan said. “I woke up about an hour ago, but you were sleeping pretty soundly, so I didn’t wake you.”

Sawyer stepped into the bathroom and wrapped his arms around her from behind. Meeting her gaze in the mirror, he said, “Thank you. I guess I needed that rest.” He nibbled on her neck, loving when she angled her head so he could reach more.

“I’d like to say my reasons for letting you sleep were purely unselfish,” she said as she turned in his hold to face him, “but I enjoyed watching you.” She bit her bottom lip.

“You watched me sleep?” Should that have been weird? Because he liked the idea.

“Do you think I’m creepy now?”

Sawyer barked out a laugh. “Creepy? You? Umm . . . no.” He kissed the tip of her nose. “Unless you took pictures of me sleeping to enjoy at another time.”

She swatted his chest then turned back to face the mirror. “No pictures.” She regarded him in the mirror and tapped her temple. “But it’s burned up here for future enjoyment.”

Sawyer loved this playfulness, this level of comfort between them. He hadn’t had this with women he’d known way longer than Morgan.

“Are you hungry?” he asked.

“Yes, but I’m trying to decide how to tame this.” She circled her head with her index finger. “I knew letting it air dry was going to be a mistake.”

“A mistake?” He fingered the long, dark waves while standing behind her. “Doesn’t look like a mistake to me. It looks like your world has been rocked.” He stepped closer, burying his nose in the silky strands. “By me.”

An elbow sailed into his gut and he stumbled back.

“I don’t exactly want that broadcasted to the entire resort, Sawyer.” She gathered her hair and held it in a low ponytail then a high one, angling her head as she looked in the mirror.

“C’mon,” he said. “Isabel totally knows what we came here to do.”

“Well, yeah. She does, but I’m sure she has lots of guests who come here to do what we’re doing.” She settled on a high ponytail that she secured with an elastic.

Sawyer approved of that style because it left her neck exposed. He didn’t waste time on taking advantage either. He slid his arm around her waist and tugged her so her backside was pressed against his front. After kissing a line along her shoulder up to her neck, he said, “I don’t think anyone at these cottages is doing what we’re doing as well as we’re doing it.”

Her body shuddered against his, and when she ground her sweet ass against him, Sawyer knew Morgan agreed with his statement.

“Let’s take care of one hunger at a time.” She closed her eyes though and didn’t create any space between them.

Sawyer took that opportunity to turn her to face him again and feast on those delicious lips of hers. Who needed food when he had this magnificent buffet right here in his arms?

They kissed for a few minutes, and when they finally came up for air, Morgan rested her head on his shoulder. Both of them were breathing hard, and Sawyer seriously considered throwing her over his shoulder and carrying her to the bedroom.

Morgan’s phone buzzing on the bathroom vanity, however, brought him to his senses.

“My sister, Claire,” she said after picking it up. “Checking to make sure I’m not dead.”

“Why would you be dead?” He followed her out of the bathroom and to the bedroom where they both grabbed their clothes.

“Oh, whenever a woman goes off with a man they don’t know well, the potential to become dead is there.” She waved a hand as if this was common knowledge.

It pained Sawyer to realize that it probably was. Among women.
