Austin cupped both her cheeks and coaxed her closer so her warm body touched his. “I thought my reaction to your daredevil stunt this morning had ruined us.”
“Thank God neither has ruined us.” She hooked her hands on his hips.
He lowered his head and when their lips met, Austin knew nothing would ever ruin them. Not if they were always honest with each other. Not if they always sought to bring each other happiness. Not if they gave themselves completely to each other.
He wanted to give everything he had to her. He wanted them to share their lives together. He wanted her to know that no matter what happened, he was one hundred percent there for her in any way that she needed him to be.
Still kissing, Charlie edged them over to the bed. She sat then slid back, making sure to take him along for the ride. With their bodies stacked on the mattress, absolutely nothing between them, they kissed until their lungs demanded oxygen. Then they dove in for another round.
Austin coasted his hand along Charlie’s side, loving the smooth feel of her warm, silky skin. When his fingers found her hot core and dipped into her folds, he relished everything about the way her body bucked in reaction to his touch. A throaty purr vibrated from her as their lips remained sealed and Austin’s fingers stroked her to near eruption.
He kissed a path from her mouth to the curve of her neck, her collarbone, between her breasts. Canvassing across her stomach, he positioned himself between her legs, widening them with his hands on her thighs.
Her fingernails raked through his hair as he licked her into a desire-filled frenzy that had her gasping his name and thrusting against him.
“Austin . . . please . . .”
He opened and rolled on the condom then hovered over her, supporting himself on his forearms. He looked deep into her gray-blue eyes, enjoying the arousal he found there. “I love you.”
Charlie lifted her hand and rubbed her palm along his jaw. “I love you too.”
Austin eased into her, each push forward sending him deeper into a bliss he’d always thought was fabricated for movie cameras.
But with Charlie, it was real.
****
Mere hours ago, Charlie had feared her time making love with Austin had come to an end. She was beyond thrilled to find that had been a false presumption. Being wrapped around Austin’s length as he kissed her more deeply than anyone ever had brought her a bigger rush than flying in her chopper did. That was a pretty astounding admission on her part, but then again, Austin Rayhill was a pretty astounding individual.
And he’s all mine.
She let out a breathy moan as Austin drove into her then retreated on a slow glide that had her core seconds from incineration. She ran her hands up along his muscular arms as he supported himself over her then pressed her palms to his pecs. God, he was such a specimen. She’d always found him attractive as she’d watched him perform in his movies, but the in-person experience was far superior to having a screen between them. She’d considered him a talented actor and admired his entertainment skills when viewing his films, but she’d had no idea that he was such an incredible person too. She and Isabel had made a sport of reading articles about him. That had made them feel as if they knew him, but they hadn’t scratched the surface with that research. Austin Rayhill was so much more than a handsome face fighting bad dudes and saving good people on screen.
He saved people in real life too.
Charlie’s core clenched as Austin stroked just the right spot. She spasmed around him and sunk her fingernails into his biceps.
“God, Charlie . . .” He captured her mouth and they ignited on this kiss until they were both soaring to a place only the two of them could visit together. This place of pure pleasure and harmony didn’t exist with anyone else. They alone held the key to it.
The flight continued until they both were spent. Austin collapsed half onto Charlie and when he made a move to roll away and pull out of her, she quickly held him in place, her arms tight clamps around his shoulders.
“Don’t go anywhere,” she said, her breath still erratic from their sexnastics. “I want you right here for a few.”
He nodded, his head resting on her shoulder and his whiskered jaw scratching along her bare flesh. His arms slipped under her to hold her closer and Charlie swore their souls melded in that moment. She felt such a part of him and knew theirs was a bond that would withstand whatever shit the world wanted to throw at them. She suspected that bond would bring a ton of wonderful things to them as well.
They stayed linked like that for a fair amount of time, just existing together in her bedroom, before Charlie’s stomach let out a roar.
Austin slid out of her, running his palm over her stomach. “We’d better take care of that before it gets angry.”
“You don’t know how true that is.” She rose up to her elbows as Austin sat up and removed the condom.
He disappeared into the bathroom for a moment, but when he returned, the look he gave her said they’d be back in this bed as soon as her stomach was full. She was totally okay with that plan.
Charlie slid off the bed and shrugged into an oversized, camouflaged T-shirt while Austin pulled on his boxer briefs and his jeans, leaving his chest perfectly accessible to her hands. She didn’t intend to waste that opportunity. She stepped over to him and hooked her fingers into the waistband of his jeans, giving him a tug so their bodies were up against each other’s again.
“What do you want to eat?” she asked between pressing kisses to his collarbone.
His arms slid around her and he leaned in to nip at her ear. “I think you know the answer to that one.”
