Daniil
Another week had passed, where we tried to act professional at work, only to rip each other’s clothes off the second we were alone.
“You look—” staring at her, I struggled to find the right word. Beautiful barely covered it. Lily looked good enough to eat. My mouth watered for another taste of her, like the one I had earlier, before we had left for work.
If Lily was a drug, I was well and truly addicted, and the more time I spent with her, the more I realized I was actually ok with that.
She was much better than any PA I had ever had. She was fantastic with Timothy, and when we were alone, I blew out a breath. When we were alone, and she curved her delectable body around mine, it was like every fantasy I had ever had came true.
These last five days, since Timothy had come back to live with me and Lily had found out the truth of my situation everything had changed, which was why I was taking her out tonight. She deserved a night off, and if I could show her off, all the better.
For the first time since my wife had died, I had no desire to hide a woman away. I was more than happy for everyone to see her on my arm. Letting my eyes run across her face, I saw her grimace slightly and frown. “What’s wrong?”
She tried to hide it with a smile, but the moment my hand touched her hip, she sighed. “I don’t want to be ungrateful but—”
My face fell. “You don’t want to go out. I mean, seeing you in that dress, I’m not sure I want to either.” My hand tightened until she gasped. “I’d rather peel you out of that dress…slowly.”
A slight pink tinge heated her cheeks. “Daniil.” She shook her head.
“What is really going on in your pretty head, Lily?” I dropped my hand to my side. Clearly, something was going on for her to be wearing that look.
“Its—” She swallowed hard, and I watched her throat move, thinking of other times when she’s had to swallow like that. “Do you honestly think going out with me in public is a good idea? What if people see us?” She sucked in a breath.
“Like who?”
Her eyes darted away. She bit her lip like it was the only thing to eat and she was starving. I watched her do it for a second before I closed my hands back around her hips and pulled her towards me, brushing my lips over hers until she relaxed. It was only then that I pulled away. Leaning my forehead against hers, I sighed. “Like who?” I asked again.
“People at work are already talking,” she muttered.
I couldn’t help it, I smiled. If that was what she was worrying about, it was a moot point. “Where we are going, they won’t see, and even if they did, why should we care? Unless you’re embarrassed to be seen with me?”
Over and over again my fingers flexed into her hips, because once I touched her, it was like I couldn’t stop. In fact, the urge to throw her over my shoulder and just go to bed was almost overwhelming.
My eyes scanned the foyer. Maybe I could slam her up against the wall right there and fuck her until she screamed. Timothy was with Anya, so we could fuck anywhere in the house without the risk of interruption.
“No, of course not,” Lily mumbled and drew my attention back to her. “It’s not that. I just—”
I put one hand on her hip, cupped her chin with the other hand and drew her face up until our lips were just a millimetre apart. “I don’t care who sees us together, Lily,” I said forcefully, each word brushing my lips against hers. “Let them gossip.”
“But”
“Are they making things hard at the office?” Maybe that’s what the problem was. She shook her head. “No, not really. Some tried early on, but I mentioned—” she shrugged. “Well it doesn’t really matter what I said. Let’s go out.”
I couldn’t help it, I smiled. I kind of wanted to know what she had said, but that would have to wait. “Yes, let’s go, I think you will like it. Not many people know of it, but it’s one of my favorite restaurants.” Stepping back I offered my arm and after a second’s hesitation, she slipped her hand into the crook of my arm, and I led us to the sleek red sportscar parked outside.
By the time we got to the small French restaurant, I wished I had chosen somewhere out of the city. Lily’s face had literally lit up anytime I was able to go fast. Her squeals of delight as I hit the gas were like music to my ears.
I would never have guessed that she was a bit of an adrenaline junky, but it was clear he was.
Pulling onto the curb, I ran my hand up her leg, dipping my fingers under the scalloped hem of the little black dress she was wearing. “Next time, we will head upstate and really open her up if you like.” Higher and higher my hand drifted until her thighs were shaking. “Maybe in the summer we can drive to the lakes.”
Lily’s hand came down onto mine, stopping my slow progress before I could get any higher. “Summer is months away.”
“So?”
“I just mean, we don’t know what’s going to happen in the future.”
I snatched my hand back. She was right, of course. Neither one of us knew what the future held, but right now, I still want her in my life in the summer. Clearly, she was having doubts, though. The tightness was sobering.
