“I’m flying out to Vegas for a few days to handle business,” he blurted, snatching my attention.
“Okay, Vegas sounds nice. When are you going?” I asked.
“I have to leave out first thing in the morning.”
“Oh.” I frowned.
I wondered why he didn’t tell me this earlier when we were together. Unless it had just come about. I was going to assume the plans came about after he dropped me off.
“Time will go by so quickly, you won’t even notice.” He hugged me.
“I’m sure my work schedule will be loaded, which will give me no time to miss you.” I smirked.
“It doesn't matter how busy you are. I know damn well you’re going to miss me. Watch, you’ll be texting me before my flight takes off, cryin’ and shit.”
I laughed out loud because I could definitely see myself doing that. Now that he mentioned it, I made a mental note to purposely refrain from texting his ass.
“I might miss you a little bit.” I rolled my eyes. “Are y’all just stopping through, or are y’all going to chill with us for a while?”
“We’re just stopping through. I have something I wanted to drop off to you before the night was over. Julia decided she wanted to be on some hoe shit, so she wanted me to bring Ace too. Can you believe they've been hooking up since that night at the strip club?”
“We literally just found out forty five minutes ago.” I laughed.
“Yeah, me too.” He shook his head. “Let’s disappear right quick, I need to show you something.” He tucked his bottom lip as he led me to the front door.
“Why are you covering my eyes?” I giggled as we stepped outside. “Ethan, I’ve been drinking, you better not let me trip over anything.”
“You won’t, just take slow steps.”
One hand covered my eyes, while the other was wrapped around my waist resting on my stomach. Ethan guided me from behind until we came to a complete stop.
“Are you ready?”
“Yes.”
The moment he removed his hands and my eyes adjusted, my mouth dropped open. My body froze in complete shock but the excitement that radiated through me brought tears to my eyes.
“You can’t be serious right now. Ethan…what the hell is this?” I felt my hands shaking.
“It’s your new car.” He kissed my cheek and pulled me toward it.
An all black Maybach truck with dark tinted windows was parked in front of me with a hot pink ribbon tied on top. A fuckin Maybach! Ethan opened the driver side door and I stood speechless. I literally cried as I jumped into his arms hugging him tight. I held on to him not wanting to let go.
“It’s brand new off the loading truck. The title and registration is on the dash. Everything is in your name.”
Once I finally let him go, he handed me the keys. I could no longer control my excitement as I jumped around like a little kid. The interior was custom barbie pink with my name embroidered in black on the head rest. I couldn’t wait to show Savannah, I knew she was going to be just as excited.
“I have to show my sister.” I shrieked, ready to take off.
“Nah, she already saw it. She actually helped pick it out. How about you hop your fine ass inside so I can take you for a ride before I fly out.” He slapped my butt.
I knew damn well he wasn’t talking about actually driving out the driveway. Therefore, he didn’t have to tell me twice. We both slid into the back seat. The way the drinks had me feeling, I was ready to clock in on demon time. We wasted no time getting down to business. I made sure I sucked him up real good before we had all four tires bouncing on rims.
TWO DAYS LATER…
Finally, my day was just about over, and I was ready to get back to the house for a nice, hot shower. The schedule was hectic today. It had my feet throbbing from running around in those damn heels. I was rushing around, trying to get Savannah together, but I messed around and forgot to grab my flats that I left by the front door. This whole week had been crazy, and I was glad I had the next day off. I made plans to take Savannah out to the skating rink to have some fun. Maybe go out to get some ice cream or go see a movie.
It was getting a little late when I pulled up to my last drop. Trenton had called me last minute, saying he had some important folders on his desk, and he asked me to bring them to him. Normally, he’d have Stephanie run all of his errands. He made it very clear that he didn’t like me. We barely exchanged words, especially after that day he called me out for coming in late.
