“Wait… how?” Gareth questioned, fumbling for words.

“Welcome to what being a bonded Alpha truly means,” Ulysses said, a hint of laughter in his voice. “This is the part they never talk about, the secret we’re supposed to discover for ourselves.”

“She’s asleep, though,” Gareth challenged.

“I don’t know what to tell you, man. This is all new territory,” Ulysses offered as he smoothed a hand over my hair. “Maybe her body needed a break, but her mind is awake. She’s always been a nosy Nellie.”

The guys chuckled at that, but I didn’t hear Vili’s voice, so I searched through my bonds until I found his. Focusing on his location, I realized he was outside and a little chilled, meaning the sun must have gone down. It was hard to feel his emotions almost as if they were buried under a blanket, muffling their voices. Not wanting to intrude where I wasn’t welcome, I started to draw back until he reached out to me, stopping me in my tracks. While I realized this was all happening on some mythical plain of existence, it truly felt like he took my hand and brought me back to where I ran into the barrier.

With a reassuring squeeze, Vili pulled back the curtains and drew me into his innermost thoughts and feelings. Instantly, love and affection swirled around me, hugging me tight, followed by passion and lust as fingers trailed along my body. I got the impression while he enjoyed my mouth, he had every intention of putting his knot to good use elsewhere. Joy bubbled up in my chest, knowing he wasn’t upset with me for not letting go. Reassurance flared, shoving everything out of the way, making it clear there were no hard feelings whatsoever.

This was everything I expected to find dwelling in my sweet teddy bear Alpha. It had me curious as to why it was dulled and held back.

Feeling my question, wisps of anger, disgust, and a cold detachment brushed along my skin like echoes of a deeper thought. There was something in Vili’s life he was keeping hidden from himself, not me or the guys. He didn’t even want to acknowledge this part of himself existed. Sadness welled up in me as I wrapped Vili in all the love and acceptance I could muster. No matter what this dark emotion stemmed from, it would never change how I felt about Vili. The man I fell in love with is the man he was today, and that’s all that mattered to me. A sensation of a kiss being pressed to my forehead told me Vili understood. At the sound of a phone ringing, he pulled away from me to answer.

Once back at the nest with my other Alphas, I decided it was time to wake up, reassure my pack, and have us all snuggle in for the night. Ulysses had been right about one thing—my body was definitely tired and for now, sated beyond belief.

My eyes fluttered open, and I hummed at the feel of Ulysses’ fingers massaging my head. He must have taken out the braid, although after how rough things got, I’m not sure it would have survived.

Gazing up into his comforting blue eyes, I smiled. “Hi.”

“Hi back,” he answered, grinning. “Seems we might have overdone it on our first day in paradise. You passed out.”

“It was so worth it, though,” I shared with a yawn, stretching out. “However, you might be right. I one hundred percent need a nap.”

Movement to my left had my head turning. There was Yun-Sun, bent over, wearing only tight black boxer briefs, feeding the dogs their dinner. Bless that man for giving them dinner and me a show.

As if he could feel me ogling him, Yun looked back, his gaze landing right on me. “See something you like?”

“What can I say… the dogs are cute,” I answered, biting my lip, knowing it was always a risk to tease my serious Alpha.

“Hmm…” Yun-Sun grunted in reply. “Then it wouldn’t be a hardship if I chose to sleep outside under the stars while you curl up with them.”

Instantly, I shot up and snapped. “Not happening.”

The vehemence of my reaction seemed to startle the guys as much as it had me.

“I mean…” I took a second to clear my throat. “It would be nicer to snuggle up with my pack since we all just bonded.”

“Good save there, baby girl,” Gareth whispered loudly behind his hand like everyone couldn’t hear him.

Warrick just shrugged with a grin. “I thought it was sexy. It’s like she turned into Feisty Bear instead of her normal Care Bear mode.”

Returning from the deck, Vili set his cell phone aside and regarded us with confusion. “Did I miss something?”

“Just Rosie getting all sassy about Yun threatening to sleep outside,” Ulysses explained.

Vili frowned. “Why outside, she’s in here?”

That hit my funny bone in just the perfect way, and I started to cackle. Flopping back onto the mattress, I laughed until I cried, then snagged a pillow before rolling onto my stomach. “Oh God, I realize it wasn’t that funny, but it kind of was.”

Yun-Sun blessed me with an adorable smile as he stepped into the bed with us. “You silly girl, did you really think I would sleep outside? Like Vili said, you’re in here. Where else would I rather be?”

Reaching out to him, he caught my hand, letting me drag him down to kneel before me. I crawled up his body until I wrapped my arms around his neck. “Well, now that we’ve settled that issue, there’s just one more thing to do.”

“Oh?” Yun asked.

Stroking my fingers over his short, buzzed hair, I kissed him. Drowning in the scent of sweet blueberry muffins, I sucked in his lower lip and completed our bond. Yun’s arms crushed me to his body as his hips thrust against my pussy, but his underwear prevented him from ramming home. That didn’t stop him from pressing me into the mattress as he used my body to hump against me as I continued to torture him. He finally came, covering my stomach in cum. Gathering it up with his fingers, he boldly shoved those two cum-covered fingers into my pussy.
