His answer was to slap my ass as he pulled out of me. “Don’t get sassy now that you’ve been rewarded for being a good girl. Keep in mind I save punishments for our next playtime. Don’t believe me? Just ask Brax… he likes to cause trouble on purpose, so I have to punish him.”

Liu stroked his hand over my chest, teasing one of my nipples. “Where’s the fun in warning her about potential punishment? It seems to me the surprise is half the fun, or that’s what this morning has taught me. Never thought I’d be waking up to a spontaneous threesome with three other people sleeping around us.”

With his reminder, I pushed up on my arm and found we were the only ones in it. “Where’d they go?”

“To jerk off in their rooms,” Hound answered from the chair he’d moved to face the bed, buck-ass naked. “I didn’t see the point. If you’re comfortable enough to fuck in front of us, then why can’t I bust a nut while watching? That shit was better than any fucking porn I’ve seen in my life.”

“Happy to help,” I said, saluting him with two fingers. “For the record, this is less creepy than watching from the other side of a screen. If you’re gonna watch, then fucking watch and own your voyeurism.”

“Duly noted, but it’s not gonna stop me from stalking your sexy ass when you’re outside this house, so don’t even try,” Hound warned, then slapped his hands on his bare legs. “Well, I’m off to take a shower and get this day rolling. Have to admit, it’s started off pretty damn good.”

Having zero shame, Hound walked out of the room with a bundle of clothes in his hand, leaving me drooling over the tattoos that covered his sculpted body. It might also be worth noting there were a few piercings that had been hidden away under those clothes. It made me incredibly curious to know what it would feel like to have that kind of friction as he fucked me.

A hand cupped my chin and turned me so I was looking at Jace. “I know he’s sexy as fuck, but you need to shower by yourself. Do you want me to tell Glenda we are coming down for breakfast, or do you want it brought up here? Either way, you will eat something even if I have to hand-feed it to you.”

Experiencing this side of Jace made me understand why people craved this sort of relationship with someone. “I will be down for breakfast after my shower. Glenda knows I have a job tonight, so she knows what to make so I’ll eat.”

“Sounds like we need her to make us a list in case there’s a situation and she’s not around to help,” Liu suggested. “I can make a shared file for us all to add things to so everyone is on the same page.”

Freeing myself from Jace’s hold, I scowled at Liu. “The same page about what?”

“Omae, there are seven of us all dating you. It will help us better support you and each other if we all have the same knowledge. I’m not talking about things like how much you love to have your nipples played with. More along the lines of… remember she hates grape soda or only one sugar in her coffee unless it’s in the giant mug, then it needs two… things like that. It keeps everyone on the same page,” Liu explained.

Hearing his explanation made me feel more accepting of the idea. “As long as we don’t go sharing intimate details, I’m okay with this. What happens between us during sex stays that way unless there is a damn good reason to talk about it.”

“Hold on, what about a list of hard nos?” Jace interjected but continued at my confused expression. “They are the things that, no matter what they are, you’d never let someone do. Like spitting on you, golden showers, or degrading you during sex, just to name a few that people sometimes have a hard time with. There are no right or wrong answers, but if you know there is never a chance, you’d be okay with it, and writing it down might help.”

“That makes perfect sense. It avoids there being an issue down the line if the subject was never brought up, and they make a play for it,” I agreed. “Oh, we should also put a calendar or something so if one of you has asked for a night alone with me, everyone knows. We might all be comfortable sharing and being around each other a lot, but I know Atty and Ryker will need my undivided attention on occasion.”

“Brilliant thought,” Liu said as he made notes on his phone. “The key to this working is making sure everyone is on the same page, aware of expectations, and respecting that everyone is going to have needs.”

“Look at us getting shit done before breakfast,” I pointed out, feeling rather good about myself, only to yelp as Jace scooped me up.

He carried me into the bathroom and set me down. “You… shower now, then breakfast.”

“Fine, fine, you win. I’m getting ready, now shoo,” I conceded, waving him out of the bathroom. “You said I had to do this alone, so out you go.”

The warning look I got from him had me smirking, but I gave him a cute little finger wave before closing the door. Letting out a sigh, I caught sight of myself in the mirror and noticed something different. Walking up to the sink, I peered at myself, trying to understand what could possibly have changed. Then it hit me like a freight train going ninety miles per hour—I was happy. For what seemed like the first time in over ten years, I was genuinely happy.

My eyes were brighter, and smile lines appeared on my face the moment I thought of any of the guys. The bitter cloud of pain and anger I’d been keeping with me seemed to have dissipated. There was still a hint of sadness, but I would be more worried if that were missing. Losing my father and all that happened after was a major blow and something I’d be working through for a long time. However, the difference was those emotions weren’t a crushing weight I had to hold up on my own. Now I had people I trusted to help me manage that, and it gave me a chance to take a break, catch my breath, and become stronger.

Daddy had been right all along—I did need them to survive this. Better yet, I allowed them to love me and, in turn, realized I shared that feeling.

Who would have ever guessed this is how my life would turn out?

That’s a silly question—my daddy did.

Thankfully, breakfast wasn’t awkward. No one brought up what happened this morning, but I noticed, like myself, everyone was in a fantastic mood. After having satisfied Jace, Ryker, and Glenda that I’d eaten enough, I headed to the garage. There was an identical copy of the judge’s safe so I could familiarize myself with how it worked. We knew the judge kept one key on his person at all times, the second being hidden in his home. Ivy gathered it was in a dummy book in his library, but I still needed to figure out where the book was located in the library.

We had also decided at breakfast that Hound would come with me to the house so he could deal with the security system. Having to access the main level of the home meant dealing with the additional measures he put in, off the record, as it were.

I grabbed my kit of tools that I never thought I’d be using again and put on headphones and leather gloves. The beat of Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” filled my ears as I took a deep breath, rolled my shoulders, and focused my mind on what I was doing. First, I grabbed a dental pick and used it to pry the cover off the keypad. Then I snipped the wires and looped in the decoder Hound made for me years ago. Once I was sure the device was hooked up properly, I clicked the power button, letting it do its job.

As we got ready to order this safe, I noticed there was an add-on the buyer could choose at check out. This particular add-on was a typical tumble dial that was common on safes. Having noticed the judge was a man who likes to throw surprise curveballs, I had the guys add it to the one we bought. To ensure I couldn’t figure out the code based on knowing the guys, Thad chose the combination as well as the code. So as the codebreaker was working, I set to work on the combination, using the skill of touch and math to crack this bitch wide open.

Placing a hand on the metal surface, I fell into the meditative state I was trained to find while fighting or shooting. My fingers rested lightly on the dial as I slowly spun it to the right, waiting for the barest hint of a tug as the pin fell into place. When that happened, I wrote down the number just in case I fucked up and needed to start over, which I did five times before I got it right. This was one area I wasn’t as skilled at as I wanted to be.

Picking locks—easy.
