Those words had my heart bursting with hope and joy and simultaneously feeling like it was being ripped in half, knowing I’d been lying to them. A soft sob slipped out, but it was covered by the sound of both Alphas starting to purr as they held me. Once the purring reached peak intensity, they started to rock into me, turning me into a panting mess in mere seconds.

The vibrations echoed through their whole body, and I mean their whole body. Companies might try to make toys for women to use that replicate this exact feeling, but they weren’t even fucking close. Their movements became bigger as they pulled out farther, but their pace stayed the same, building the orgasm until it spilled over, flooding me with endorphins.

I mewled my pleasure as my fingers dug into Halstead’s back, and my teeth bit into his shoulder as I tried to keep from losing my mind at the intensity. Why I thought you couldn’t get as intense of an orgasm from sweet sex, I don’t know. Clearly, I hadn’t had the right partner with the skills to pull it off because Quintin and Halstead just proved me the fuck wrong.

“That’s it, doll… let us make you feel good. Don’t hide that beautiful voice of yours. Let it out,” Halstead encouraged as he and Quintin fucked me through the orgasm.

When they switched up the rhythm, alternating thrusts instead of doing them in time with each other, the next orgasm had me screaming. This time they came with me, both latching onto my neck opposite each other, but they didn’t bite, just held me like that as if to promise one day they would follow through and claim me as their pack’s official Omega. This sent me plummeting off the cliff and into another climax as their knots locked me in place between them. Two tears rolled down my cheeks at the realization they didn’t go through with it and hadn’t claimed me. It would have taken all my fears away had they just decided to make it happen, but instead, they were honorable men who wanted this to be something I offered to them in full submission and consent to live a life together.

“Lainey?” Halstead’s voice was full of concern as he used his thumb to wipe away the tears. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” I croaked. “Fuck, I said I wasn’t going to cry during sex. I never cry… what the hell is wrong with me?”

“I’m fairly certain that’s our fault,” Quintin interjected. “We shouldn’t have bitten you at all while we knotted you. That was unfair of us, and I’m sure your Omega instincts are in turmoil over it, making you second-guess everything we were just telling you.”

He was half right, but I would let him believe it was the second half of that and not the wish for them to save me from having to hurt them.

“It’s stupid, is what it is,” I grumbled. “I know exactly why you didn’t mark me, and I appreciate that you didn’t. We aren’t ready for that yet, but these goddamn Omega hormones can’t understand that.”

Quintin kissed the spot that still burned slightly from where he’d bitten down. “One day, this will be real, and you’ll never have to feel like this again. For now, though, I think it might be best if we don’t tempt fate. It was much harder to hold back than I anticipated.”

“Same,” Halstead agreed. “Once the need to bite reared up, it was all I could do to keep from finishing what I’d so carelessly started.”

“I agree that might not be something you three should do, or myself for that matter, seeing how that went over with Kerian,” I commented.

Halstead let out a loud yawn and snuggled against me. “I say we take a quick nap.”

“We just woke up,” Quintin pointed out.

Halstead lifted his head to look at his partner. “Did you have something else you wanted to do at the moment? If you didn’t notice, we’re a little tied up here.”

I snorted, trying to cover up my laughter, but the expression on Quintin’s face as he processed the fact that it wasn’t just me he was knotted to, but Halstead was also part of the deal. “A nap sounds perfect. Then we need to make sure Lainey gets something to eat.”

“Contrary to what you all believe, I have been taking care of myself for the past thirty-two years,” I interjected.

Quintin kissed me quickly before making himself comfortable, tossing his leg over my hip. “I don’t remember anyone questioning that, do you, H?” he questioned.

“Nope,” Halstead answered.

“I think you’re confusing the fact that we want to take care of you with the belief you don’t think we trust you to take care of yourself, which, by the way, is entirely untrue,” Quintin explained. “Now close your eyes and count our heartbeats until you fall asleep, beautiful.”

“So bossy,” I muttered but let out a heavy sigh as Halstead grabbed the comforter and pulled it over us. “God, this could get addicting.”

“Good, that was our plan. Now hush,” Halstead ordered and started to purr once more, lulling me back to sleep.

When we woke from our nap, we all scattered to get ready for the day and met in the kitchen. A breakfast spread awaited us with various pastries, fruit, bacon, and cheesy scrambled eggs. It would seem Ruth was back in action and more than ready to start feeding us all.

“Normally, this isn’t how breakfast is for us during the week, but on the weekends, Ruth likes to spoil us with a real breakfast, as she calls it,” Halstead shared. “Usually, I’m a man who needs a good cup of coffee and a piece of toast with peanut butter to sustain me until lunch. Kerian makes a smoothie, and I’m pretty sure Quintin survives off tea.”

“No, it’s that I’m the first one awake, so I make my breakfast and eat it before you arrive for your coffee. I make a bowl of oatmeal for myself with a side of eggs. You need food that will stick to your bones and keep you going on a busy day,” Quintin corrected. “You just seem to catch me when I’m done and reading the morning paper.”

Halstead gave Quintin a dubious look but shrugged and filled his plate with food. Everything was amazing, and it was nice to relax and chat with them after a leisurely morning. When we finished, we cleaned up, then Quintin decided to finish the tour that Halstead didn’t before we ended up driving off into the sunset.

“As you saw yesterday, the main floor isn’t used much, but if we ever had guests or a party, it would provide ample space. The second floor is where we spend most of our time since it’s where our offices and bedrooms are. Offices are down the left hall, and bedrooms are to the right. I advised it wouldn’t be smart to have them too close, or none of us could walk away from work,” Quintin informed me. “Halstead’s room is the double doors at the end of the hall, then my room, and Kerian is here at the start. There are two other rooms unused at the moment since I suppose we left the option for kids on the table but haven’t really done anything on that front.”

I opened one of the doors and pushed it open to reveal a simple room with a view of the driveway and front lawn. It had a built-in window seat, but that was about it for any kind of furnishings or personal touches. Even the walls were white and void of any personality—a blank slate.

“Wow, when you said you didn’t do anything with it, you weren’t kidding,” I commented, looking back at the two who stood just outside the door. Chewing on my lip, I decided to take the chance since one of them brought up the subject. “So… does that mean you want kids?”
