“Now you don’t mind if I run off to faraway places?”
“You can’t run from me anymore, spitfire. You promised me your heart last night, which means I have you. Heart, body, and soul.”
I pushed up to my toes and kissed his soft, full lips. The remnants of our night together still clung to them and sent a flutter of goose bumps over my skin.
“You love me.” I held his gaze through my lashes, knowing the chances of me getting to the office on time were getting thinner by the second.
A deep rumble came from his chest. “If I say those words, will you stay here and let me fuck you to sleep?”
My teeth tugged on my lip as I shook my head. “No. But there’s a good chance I’ll let you eat me out under my desk later if you say it.”
He threw his head back and cursed my name. “You’re killing me, little flame.”
I pulled at the back of his neck until his eyes returned to mine.
“You. Love. Me.” I dotted every word with a quick kiss on his pouty lips.
His playful smile pulled into a solemn smirk. “I love you. Brighter than every star that ever shined, darker than any darkness that ever existed. I. Love. You.”
THE END
For now…
