“He’s bugged JacQues’ house and office,” Jaeda answered. “Every electronic communication device has been tapped. We can hear and see everything.””
She tapped the digital wall, and several things populated. The ring camera on his front door, the webcam on several computers, and phones. There was a log of recorded phone calls and location points of every place he stopped in his car. I stood and walked over to the screen.
“That’s the brothel,” I said, pointing at it.
“He’s been there a lot. Phone records indicate he’s called a number at that location four or five times a week. Somebody named Jazmine Franco.”
I frowned. “That’s the bottom bitch at the brothel. Or at least she was. I let her go when I took over. That’s the bitch who was feeding him information about what I was doing. She acted like she was so happy to get out of that shithole.”
Quaid tapped the screen, and a screenshot of Jazmine’s bank statements populated.
“A few weeks before he confronted you, there was a transfer to her account for ten thousand dollars. She’s been consistently getting paid by him ever since. According to our records, she’s now in charge.”
“That bitch is the first to go,” I said. “I’m handling her personally.”
“I’ll be right with you,” Titan said. “I don’t typically kill women, but I’ll be right there in case anything pops off.”
I nodded.
Quaid pulled up something else on the screen. “Remember when we suspected he was using a website to sell the people he captured? We were finally able to break that shit. We have identities and locations of every person currently in his possession. He’s got them spread out in whore houses all over the city. Once a service is booked, an encrypted link is sent to pick the man or woman of their choosing. A location is sent once they complete their purchase. The shit we found on the dark web his sick as hell. Some of these people are being used for more than sex. They are being sodomized and tortured. Right now, it’s about a hundred men and women. He’s been laying low with the trafficking since y’all were over there. I think you have him spooked.”
“He hasn’t seen spooked yet,” I said, looking at the names and pictures. “I’m gonna torture that son of a bitch.”
“Aw shit,” Booker said. “It’s been a minute since I’ve really seen you in action, sis.”
“What kinda action we talking?” Deuce asked curiously.
I turned to face the group with a sinister smile on my face. “You’ll see, Deucy.”
My father’s side of the family didn’t know how deadly I really was. They knew I trained with my grandfather’s organization, but what they didn’t know was that I’d caught my first body at eighteen, not twenty-one. That little act I put on with Deuce the night I was inducted, was one of my best performances. I let my brother think I needed him to handle shit, but in reality, I could have killed that nigga myself. I’d been in the field a long time and had seen and done a lot of shit. They thought I was just a crash out behind my husband, but it got worse than that. If I had to go to that place, it got very dark, very quick.
Unlike my father, my grandfather was known for his torture tactics. He personally taught a class during our training on how to execute a kill in the most gruesome manner. Those kills were saved for the most vile of predators. Maybe I was a little sick in the head, but those were my favorite classes.
There were those who deserved a quick death, and then there were those who deserved a slow and painful one. JacQues deserved slow and agonizing. Before I was done with him, he’d be begging me to kill him.
TWO WEEKS LATER
Paris, France
I stepped off the private jet with my wife in tow. For a moment, both of us just stood there. It had been four long months since we’d been in the city. The last time we were here, tragedy struck. This time, there was going to be destruction. Mr. James and Senior already have everything set up for us over here. Clearance. A house. A warehouse. Everything.
We just had to get to work.
I looked over at Mia. She wore an unreadable expression. Whenever she was in a mood, that was always the case. She became eerily calm, her eyes grew dark, and she was extremely quiet. That was the menace in her rising to the surface. All hell was about to break loose.
“You good, mamas?” I asked.
She simply nodded and slipped her hand into mine. Behind us, everybody else filed out of the two jets as the fleet of blacked out Escalades pulled up to take us to the house we rented for our time here. The place was big enough to fit all of us under one roof, which was probably for the best. That house was about to be locked down tighter than Fort Knox.
We piled into the cars while our luggage was being loaded. From the mirror, I could see them loading the weapons we brought with us. Nothing but guns, ammo, and some other shit Smoke brought from his warehouse. Knowing that man, it could be anything. As long as it brought the demise I wanted, I didn’t care what it was.
I was never sure how Senior managed to get away with transporting enough weapons to equip a small army, but he did it every time. The man had pull. I guess government contracts and years of being in this game gave him leverage to move how he needed to, when he needed to.
We pulled off from the private airstrip and headed for the house in the hills. It took a good forty-five minutes to reach our destination. When we got there, a man was waiting out front with a white van.
“Who is that?” I asked, reaching for my gun.
“Relax,” Quaid said. “That’s my guy.”
