I’m so damn lucky to be married to this girl.

I push one of her legs up toward her chest, being mindful and careful of her stomach. “Good?”

“So good,” she says as I thrust into her deeper. “Just like that. I won’t last.”

I can already feel the pressure building as I hit that spot inside of her over and over, my own control starting to slip. “Fuck…yes…come on, baby.”

Cassidy throws her head back with a cry, her back coming off the mattress as her body contorts in pleasure.

I bury myself inside of her, my cock throbbing hard. “Good girl. You’re so good.”

Cassidy breathes heavily, looking tired but elated. She drags me down for a sleepy kiss, keeping me inside of her. “I love you.”

“I love you,” I whisper to her before kissing her forehead. “So much.”

She’s the one who changed everything for me. Who showed me that people do stick around and that love can be enough if it’s paired with effort.

We all chose each other, and I don’t fear losing her because she decided to walk away. She’s in this as much as we are, and I can’t even begin to describe how relieving that thought is.

I was so tired of feeling so afraid.

When I draw away from her, Marcus and Jackson help her to the bathroom connected to our bedroom, and I follow behind them, smiling to myself.

Jackson runs her a bath in the large garden tub we had installed.

Marcus gently massages her lower back, kissing her shoulder as she relaxes into his hands.

“I’m spoiled,” she mumbles with her eyes closed.

“Good. We’re doing our jobs right then,” Jackson replies before pressing a quick kiss against her lips. “Relax in the bath for a while. We’ll get your clothes.”

“I’ll make you some tea,” Marcus offers.

“I love all of you,” she sighs as she smiles at all of us.

“You know that we love you,” Jackson tells her, giving her a warm look.

“Always,” Marcus adds before taking her hand and leading her to the bathtub. He carefully guides her down into the hot water before kissing the top of her head.

As they walk out of the bathroom to get what she needs, I linger there for a moment with my eyes on her as she relaxes in the bath. I’m living a life that I never thought I would get to live.

Hell, there was a time when this kind of life didn’t even appeal to me. I thought late nights and quick connections was the cheat code to life, but I was wrong.

I just hadn’t fallen in love yet, and I got lucky by falling in love with the right girl.

The relationship that I’m in is a little unorthodox, but I think it’s for the best. We thrive in a little bit of chaos, and there’s no one I want by my side more for this crazy adventure called life than the three other people in this house.

A house that I’m grateful to call our home.

Chapter forty-four

Epilogue: Cassidy

Afew more months later

The sound of my own heavy breathing mixes in with the rapid thumps of my heartbeat, the lights above me streaking to the point of blinding me.

“Cassidy, listen to me. You need to keep pushing, okay?” Dr. Wallace tells me from the end of the hospital bed.
