“Yanna ain’t like that and she didn’t know about Maddie at first but that’s neither here nor there cause I’m not with Maddie. I don’t plan to be back with her.”

”Wooo, I expect this type of crass behavior from Titon or Nakeem but I expect better from you Niko. Maddison had been by you’re side for years and this is how you repay her?”

”I don’t owe her shit. When she felt like she could sneak and kill my seeds behind my back ended all that. My only concern with Maddie is they baby she got in her stomach now,”

“I’m sure she had her reasons for her action,” My mama had the nerve to defend Maddie. I couldn’t be mad cause I expected nothing less from her.

“Too bad I don’t give a fuck,” I bluntly said.

”You’ll regret your actions when you lose a good woman chasing behind nasty sluts.”

”I’d rather take my chances with sluts than a bitch I can’t trust but I had something I needed to talk to you about.” I said walking around my mama and leading us into the kitchen.

I looked at my phone to make sure I didn’t’ have any missed calls. Yanna had been complaing about contractions. Since she’d hit the thirty-six week mark her doctor said she could go into labor at anytime. She was finna when I checked on her earlier. Said she was finna take a nap and I told her to call me once she woke up.

“What’s the issue?” She asked with her eyebrow cocked up.

”You noticed money coming up short?” I asked her.

It was weird that she hadn’t mentioned anything about money coming up short and over seeing the money was a part of her duty. Yaro and I were the first ones to peep the money coming in short since our trap got hit. of fifty-fifth. This shit felt like deja vu all over again. Shit started hitting the fan the same way right before Sonni died. I had my suspicions but I didn’t want to jump the gun before I had all the evidence.

“I noticed, but I figured you’d see it. You always catch on eventually.” Her tone was condescending and I wasn’t feeling it. For now I would play it cool with my mama until I talked to my brothers.

“Oh, okay.” I nodded my head as a million thoughts ran through my mind.

My mama pressed her lips together smugly then she said. “I figured it was the same people as before. He ones who made you falsely accuse Sonni of stealing?”

I chuckled, but I wasn’t amused. My mama knew what the fuck she was doing. I didn’t accuse Sonni of shit, the nigga was stealing from us. Sonni picked up a coke habit and it sent him in a deep spiral that had him doing shit he never would have done before. The streets weren’t made for everyone and Sonni was one of the niggas who should have stayed out of the streets.

I ignored what my mama said, instead I told her. “I’m finna go check on Maddie.” I said as I made my way out the kitchen. I had a bunch of puzzle pieces but none of them were fitting together. I didn’t like not knowing if I had snakes around. I’d been betrayed by one brother I didn’t need it happening again.

I hear my mama mumble something under her breath but I didn’t care enough to turn around and ask her. I headed up the stairs towards Maddie’s room. I could hear her talking on the phone again.

“Bitch if you don’t do what I did,” Maddie snickered into the phone and that caught my attention. “Pricilla showed me how to do it without hurting myself to bad and the nigga been eating out my ass since.” Her phone wasn’t on speaker this time so I could not hear what Maddie was saying.

”You don’t even have to use a knife or anything. Get a little dollar razor and make sure you don’t cut to deep. Make sure you do it in the water so it will look like they’res blood all over the place. Unhuh, traumatized that nigga.”

I swear I thought there wasn’t shit else this bitch could do to shock me but she was proving me wrong again. I couldn’t believe Maddie really faked trying to kill herself. She was carrying on talking like the shit was cute. The little nicest I had left in me for Maddie was gone. Fuck that bitch as far as I was concerned. I didn’t even want to see that bitch no more. I low key didn't even give a fuck about how she was doing. Without making my presences known I turned the fuck around.

Taking the steps to at a time, I was getting the fuck out of here. I was almost out the door when I remember I’d left my phone in the kitchen on the counter. I doubled back heading into the kitchen. “What you doing?” I snarled seeing my mama with my phone in her hand.

”Oh, my um I was trying to answer it,” She stuttered handing it over to me.

I looked at my phone, noticing it was turned off. “Don’t touch my shit.” I barked, walking out the kitchen then out Maddie’s house.

As soon as my phone came on it started ringing with Yanna’s name coming across the screen.

“Yeah baby mama?” I questioned unlocking my door.

“Niko, I think my water just broke!” Yanna groaned into hte phone sounding like she was about to cry.

“Oh shit. I’m coming baby mama.”

”I called Zaylee causes you weren’t answering.”

”Maann, don’t get in her car. I’m on the way.” I got in my car speeding off from the street.
