He glanced at me with a grin.

“Get on the pill, because I am not using condoms with you.”

My jaw dropped.

“If you go to your general practitioner and explain that you don’t want my sperm penetrating your eggs, the GP will give you tiny pills that you take daily so you won’t become another teenage pregnancy statistic.”

I took a deep breath and considered the trend in statistics where more women were becoming prone to domestic violence against their partners. A degree of understanding settled as I took a deep breath, not wanting to become a statistic of any kind.

Plus, he had his fingers inside me, and they kind of felt nice.

He stood. Towered over me.

I frowned, then shivered, because I was naked and freezing.

“That works both ways,” I said, stepping back to get under my quilt.

“Of course it works both ways,” he snapped, as if I’d gravely offended him against some code of conduct I was unaware of.

“We live in different cities.”

“I’m finishing uni, and you’re starting, so I can relocate.”

“You’ve already thought this through?”

Oh my god. I still haven’t told Nolan.

“I will send you a daily reminder every single day if I have to. You’re mine.”

I sat on my bed, speechless.
