Aunt Haley grabbed Aiden's hand, “Let’s go see this King Caspian then, brother.” Eric growled, “With me.” I added, “And me.” Several people wanted to go as well. Aiden disagreed, “We can’t all go, that’s a terrible idea.”
Lux reasoned, “They can’t go, but I can. Hell, I’m their royalty.” I growled, “I’m her mate!” Emmett said, “I’m so glad you can say that now.” Well, they knew now so it was easier. Aiden sighed, “Fine. Haley, me, Lux and Keaton will go.”
Nathan growled, “I want to go see my pup.” Aunt Haley left Aiden’s side and went back to him. My godmother promised, “I will bring Odette back to you or you to her, Nathan, I promise.” She kissed his forehead.
Uncle Eric pulled Aunt Haley into him whispering, “Be safe.” He looked at Aiden who nodded. Uncle Eric released Aunt Haley. My godmother then grabbed my hand. Mom whispered, “Bring her back, Keaton.” I nodded.
Lux asked, “Ok, what is the sea salt smell? It’s been faint over the years a few times, but lately it’s overwhelming lately. It’s quite literally driving me insane. I feel like a Beta blood because I cannot figure it out.” Alpha Theo gasped.
I said, “Scarlett Thunders smells like sea salt.” I had no sooner said that then Scarlett burst into the room. Lux locked eyes with her, “MINE!” Oh fantastic, another delay. They couldn’t have figured this out sooner? Channing huffed in my head.
Scarlett ran and threw her arms around my one day brother in law. Lux growled, “Where the HELL have you been? You live here!” I cut in, “Scarlett’s been abroad since she was sixteen. You all don’t come around if the Blue Moon pack is somewhere. She only popped in for big events and recently came back home. Everyone is caught up and now Scarlett can come with us. Let’s go.”
Dylan snorted, “Soon to be Alpha Holf, who is getting so very interesting with his Swagger, is impatient. I’ll get you a good nickname, young holf. Don’t you worry. We didn’t answer we landed on you being Alpha Key.” I said, “No!”
Channing agreed, “Only mate calls us that.” Nathan offered, “I agree with Keaton, you guys need to get moving.” Dylan snorted, “Of course you do.” Lux asked, “What the hell is singing in my head?!” Aiden sighed, “Your Siren. You met your mate/song. As you are royal that made yours surface.”
Lux looked at me, “Odette’s been having something sing in her head this whole time?” I nodded. Lux snorted, “Great.” Clara offered, “The Siren hisses too.” Lux groaned. Scarlett said, “Alexandria caught me up. Let’s go get your sister, mate of mine.” I linked my sister in law, “Bless you.” Alexandria replied, “I always have your back, Keaton.”
Aiden said, “Yes, let’s.” Alexander was missing. What the hell? He wouldn’t leave. Channing told me, “Oden is here.” He was not. I grabbed Aunt Haley's hand then felt arms around me the second we popped. I looked over my shoulder and snorted. Alexander had faded into the background then faded back in to go with us.
Aiden nor Aunt Haley seemed surprised by that move. We walked through a massive doorway and were surrounded by tridents. Channing growled, “I will rip them to pieces, Keaton. No one here could stop me.” I didn’t even want to stop my wolf really.
Lux hissed and growled at them. We all glanced at him. Lux blew out a breath, “Great. Now, I have a complex.” Aiden ordered, “Lower your tridents. I am King Aiden Holloran with Prince Lux Sargasso Bartlett. We need an audience with King Caspian immediately. We have reason to believe, Princess Odette Sargasso, Princess Delana Marmara, and Duchess Luna Melanie Conners are in this realm.”
I asked, “Who is Delana Marmara?” Aiden answered, “The woman who gave Princess Odette the key to her cuffs.” Ok then. Someone clearly showed him the recording of the interaction while I wasn’t looking. Whatever. That worked for me.
I asked, “So, Delana is their other sister who got married?” A man with a trident answered, “No, Princess Delana’s father has another clan, she’s from that one.” The man eyed Lux greeting, “Hello, long lost Prince Lux. We have been searching for you.”
Lux snorted, “What a fine job you’ve done. I’m not hard to find, I’m also not the focus. I want to find my sister.” A guard hissed at him causing Scarlett to snarl at him in return. They backed up. Scarlett warned, “You hiss at my mate ever again and you’ll find out how powerful a she wolf with Alpha blood is.”
I backed her up, “With a hybrid Alpha at her back. We’d run actual circles around you.” Scarlett laughed at my joke. A man came running up, but stopped to stare at Lux. The man whispered, “My boy, look at you.” Lux frowned in confusion and looked at me.
I shrugged as the man ran up to him. Aiden greeted, “Former King Noxus, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Noxus didn’t even look at him. The man held Lux’s face, “You’re strong, my boy.” Lux said, “You must be my mother’s mate then.”
Noxus winced, “We call them Song’s and yes. I’m your stepfather.” Lux titled his head, “That makes sense, on the songs thing since one is now singing in my head.” Noxus stepped back, “I’m sure that’s unsettling for you. You’ve been so long without yours if you just surfaced. I can tell it’s new.” Lux nodded.
Noxus hissed at the guards, “How dare you raise a trident to my stepson! He is your Prince! Get on your knees!” Lux said, “They didn’t know that the whole time. Most lowered their weapons when Aiden announced me. Again, it’s not the point.”
I growled, “Where is Odette?” Noxus turned and evaluated me. Aunt Haley put her hand on me clearly showing she’d throw down for me. Noxus nodded, “You must be Odette’s song boy. Good. You are strong. Follow me.”
Channing asked, “Did that tell us where mate is? Because I do not think it did!” Neither did I. I looked around noting Alexander was missing again. We followed Noxus past people who were bowing to Lux. He clutched Scarlett close to him.
I inhaled deeply but couldn’t get Odette’s scent. We walked into an empty throne room. Noxus turned, “I still can’t believe you are here, Lux. We’ve been searching for you and Odette. We knew you were safe though, and battling Morgana’s magic with Valdoma’s has been tough. There are several false Lux plants in Tennessee.”
I repeated, “Where is Odette?” Noxus smirked, “Where is the man you came with? There were six of you.” Aunt Haley answered, “My son is around.” Noxus greeted, “Princess Haley, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” She nodded back to him.
Channing growled, “Blah, blah, blah. WHERE IS MATE?! I need to see her and talk to her wolf. Mate needs to know I would’ve helped her if I had ANY idea she existed!” I reasoned, “Odette’s wolf probably does know that Channing.”
Noxus sighed, “When I find Morgana….” Aiden interrupted, “I know where she is, King Noxus. I have a man keeping her entertained. It’s why I wished to have an audience with King Caspian. I wanted to jump the line, so to speak.”
Noxus snorted, “Of all the luck. We suspended outside request hearings because we were focused on finding Odette.” I interjected, “And she is where? Odette came here, right?” Lux shot me a grateful look. Noxus sighed, “In a way.”
I growled, “What does that mean?” Because if she was with Luke, my entire family and all our allies were coming to this underwater place to fuck shit up until I had my mate back. Noxus sat down on the seashell throne and sighed. Channing snarled, “We should shift and go run around and find mate ourselves. Oden clearly went to go find them.” Yeah, I should’ve done that too. Next time, I’d go the sneaky route.
Announcing the Princess
Odette was debating what to do as she faced multiple weapons. Delana blinked, “Now, boys you’ll want to be lowering those, won’t you?” Several obeyed. Melanie muttered, “I wish I could do that. Sirens have a snare. It’s… so unfair. I could use that…. they’d just tell me to shut up if I said that.” I snorted.
