Grabbing her intensely, William pushed hard, sending stars racing all through her. And a burn, a deliciously slow, aching burn. Everything was heated, from her nipples to her toes. And inside, she could barely move. Yet, William's thrusting continued to shower joy upon her. Then, just as she thought she could take no more, a deep excitement took her. Everything shuddered. Feeling the passion, William ground hard. Nora gasped, then yelped.
It was intense. Waves of passion exploded, and by the look in William's eyes, his had also landed. Pure sweat dripped upon her. William held her tight, his arms fastened around her waist. He smiled at her and rubbed his head deep into her belly.
It was so unexpected that Nora gave way to a deep murmur. Everything inside her sweetened out. She wanted him.
"Braw, braw, braw," she repeated again and again.
William shook his head. Nora could not help but admire the trace of his torso, taking in the contours of his back. Something surged within her.
"Can ye handle this?" He smirked, but it was too late to give an answer.
Nora felt something hot and warm explode within her; a tickly mess engulfed her. Their climax was synchronized and moans echoed in the room.
"Och," he said, grinning. Then, putting his hands to her belly, he gazed wistfully.
"I love ye, Nora," he said softly. He waited. Then, he looked archly. "This is the wee bit where ye tell me ye love me too."
Nora was staring at him with tears in her eyes.
"Are ye all right, my love?" William asked.
"I'm the happiest woman alive. I love ye so much, William. I really do, with all my heart and my whole being. I love ye!"
William leaned over and kissed her tenderly on her lips. He laid down beside her and placed his hand in hers. Within minutes they were asleep, with a smile on their faces and love surrounding the whole room.
EXTENDED EPILOGUE
TWO YEARS LATER…
"Nay! Dinnae move an inch."
Nora's whole body froze as William rushed over, tutting. For the first few moments, Nora was genuinely alarmed.
Worried, she shuffled from her position on the ground. It was not easy. Getting down had been hard, standing up near impossible. Seeing her struggle, William immediately raced to her side.
"What...what is it?" Nora asked, glancing around. It was spring. They were in one of the quietest salmon lochs on the estate. A quick glance confirmed there were no mortal enemies hovering nearby, unless they were heavily disguised as bait. Wondering what the matter was, Nora looked up.
Swooping down, William snatched the fishing net from her hands. "Nay, nay, nae like that! Ye're doing it wrong!"
"Wheesht! Ye had me afeart," Nora sighed, bemused. The little butterflies that had sprung up in her belly settled down, but it was the larger one she was thinking of. Instinctively, Nora's hands slid to her belly, stroking it tenderly.
"Och, William, I thought it was something serious," she chided. "Ye shouldnae do that to me," she added, with a piercing glance. Now William looked a little sheepish.
Nora smiled. Really, she was enjoying their little outing. It was a rare escape from months of confinement—a never-ending winter and a burgeoning pregnancy saw her trapped in the confines of Duncan Castle.
Rubbing her bump again, Nora stretched and yawned. Everything ached. Pregnancy had taken its toll on her body; the itching, the nausea, the soreness…the list went on. Yet, all of these symptoms she cheerfully bore; it meant her body was working. The only thing she could not abide was the crushing boredom. Being stuck indoors was anathema for her.
Suddenly, she was forbidden to go out. So when William had mentioned fishing, she had bitten his hand off.
He had taken some persuading, though. "Are ye sure?" he warned her. "It's nae really for lasses. Ye might be a wee bit bored."
Nora had made a face. If someone told her something was nae for lasses, then she immediately had to do it. Determined, she set her chin, resolute.
"It cannae be more boring than doing nothing!" she had said, although four hours in, and nothing caught, she was forced to revise that opinion. If she had not been with William, she would have given up. Only reluctantly had he let her come. It was too near her time, but Nora had begged. But she had not realized how earnest he was about it all.
Taking the net from her hands, he huffed. "Och, 'tis all fankled. Did ye nae listen to what I said?"
He shot her a stern look, and Nora felt a giggle rise in her throat. As soon as he turned to her, she smoothed it over. Then William cast the net into the loch, watching as it went.
