“I’m hesitant to let you trick me into thinking I’m anything more than a contracted employee you paid for.”

He smirked, narrowing his eyes before kissing me again. This time, I couldn’t resist a moan after he tangled his tongue with mine. “No tricks,” he whispered before framing my face and kissing me again.

Slanted back over the table with how hungrily he kissed me, I clung to his shoulders. He scooted me toward the edge of the table as he devoured me, but when the movement caused a plate to drop with how the tablecloth had slid, I gasped and broke apart from him.

He was too good.

Too wicked.

So masterful.

How could a man make me lose all my senses so quickly?

“I want you to be open with me, Mila.”

Why? I couldn’t ask. Because if he replied and said that he cared, it would be a lie.

“I don’t like to share anything personal about me.” I lowered my gaze. “I don’t know how. No one’s ever asked. No one has ever wanted to know who I am when I’m only supposed to serve them.”

“Then perhaps I can teach you.” He kissed me again. “I’ll show you how you drive me insane when you’re so guarded and closed off from me.” While he spoke, he slid his hands toward my shorts. Bracing his left hand on my ass, he brought his right hand between my legs to stroke over where I was already dripping wet for him.

“Has anyone ever touched you here?” he asked.

I nodded. Then frowned. “Not like that.”

“I wasn’t the first man to touch you like I did last night, was I?”

I swallowed hard, hating those memories. With him fingering me and smearing my cream around, I didn’t want to be obligated to think at all. But he was my master. My boss. My owner. I had to answer him.

“I was raped by the first man my parents sold me to. He wanted to keep me to himself and not let the rest of the Cartel have their turn, so he told them that I was… diseased.”

I glanced up at Lev, finding a simmering fury in his eyes. He didn’t stop touching me, tempting me to lower my guard so long as he caressed me and added to that addicting ache.

“He was killed that night, though. But his rumor stuck, even when I was sold to others.” I swallowed hard, feeling like my throat was going to close up from the nerves of telling him this much. “I was never touched again.”

“Until now.” He tugged my shorts out of the way while he leaned me down on the table more, kissing me so possessively.

Bare with my ass on the table’s edge, I kept my hands on his shoulders. Confused. Nervous. Unsure of what he wanted. And why. Or if Selma would come in here or—

He reached for his chair, sliding it closer. “Until now,” he repeated.

I realized he was stating it but treating it like a question. Like he wanted to hear me acknowledge he was the one who could touch me now. “Until… now?” I lost my hold on his shoulder as he sat.

Then with a swift tug toward him, he slid me over the table. Parting my legs. Exposing my pussy to him.

“Lev, I don’t under—”

He stood, growling, before holding my head and kissing me fiercely. “Fuck. Fuck, Mila. Say it again.”

I frowned, trying to keep up. My shorts and panties were gone. I was sitting on the table. He was acting feral—for me—and Selma could just breeze in here at any second and see—

He turned my head back toward him from when I checked whether the doors to the dining room were closed. “Say my name again, Mila.”

Shit.

He was making too much of this. He was trying too hard to get in my head.

Don’t panic.
