“I…I can’t…I can’t breathe.”

“You breathing just fine.”

Kaior struggled to move, but she couldn’t do shit except take it and let me have my way. After watching her squirm for a while, I moved her legs to my shoulders and hit every corner from the side until I felt myself about to nut.

“Be still. I’m cumming.”

After a few more pumps and groans, I was shooting the club up. “Arghhh! Shit!”

It hit me so hard, it had me growling in this bitch. Once I was empty, I stayed planted inside of her until I went limp. Kaior was trying to catch her breath. I leaned down and slipped her some tongue. Then I laid down beside her and pulled her close to me.

“You belong to me now,” I whispered in her ear and meant every word.

“We’ll see about that.”

After a minute, both of us just lay there trying to catch our breath. The room was quiet as hell except for the air conditioner humming and the waves crashing outside the penthouse. Kaior curled up against my side like she was comfortable with me, absently drawing little circles across my chest with her fingertips.

She looked up at me and shook her head.

"You’re different."

I smirked. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"I ain't figured that part out yet."

I laughed. "You still here though."

She rolled her eyes and playfully smacked my chest. "Don't get cocky."

"Too late for that."

A smile spread across her face before she draped her arm across my midsection. "I ain't gon' lie," she mumbled. "Tonight was nice."

"It ain't over."

She looked up. "It ain't?"

"Nah."

"What else you got planned?"

I kissed the top of her head. "You'll see."

She smiled and went quiet. That told me her mind was working overtime. I rubbed my hand up and down her back while her breathing slowed with every minute that passed, and before long, she was out.

I looked down at her sleeping on my chest and couldn't help but grin. "Damn."

I hadn't even realized when it happened. Somewhere between lunch, the club, and tonight, I'd stopped trying to impress Kaior. Now I was just trying to keep her. I pulled the blanket over her shoulder, kissed the top of her head one more time, and stared out toward the ocean. One thing for sure and two things for certain. I wasn't letting her go.

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

I woke up still wrapped in Jokah's arms, from last night, as the sunlight streamed through the windows. For the first time in a while, my head felt clear despite the hangover I probably deserved. I laid there for a minute, listening to him breathe, before I finally said what I decided somewhere in the middle of the night.

"I'm done, Jokah. I’m leaving him for good."

He shifted, propping himself up on one elbow to look at me. "You sure about that?"

"I'm sure." I sat up, pulling the sheet with me. "I need to go get my stuff."
