He gave me the name of the dental office along with the address. I repeated it once in my head and locked it in. "Anything else?"
"That's all I could pull this fast."
"It'll do."
I ended the call and slipped my phone into my pocket.
Poncho was already grinning. "You smiling hard as hell."
I grabbed my keys off the island. "Showtime."
His eyebrows shot up. "You ain't seriously about to pull up to this girl's job?"
"Maybe."
"You don't think that's a little much?"
I slid on my sunglasses and smirked.
"Depends."
"On what?"
"Whether she remembers me after today."
Hulk pushed himself off the wall. "We rolling?"
A slow grin spread across my face. "Oh, we rolling."
CHAPTER EIGHT
"Open wide for me."
I smiled down at the little boy sitting in my chair. "There you go."
Dr. Simmons leaned over my shoulder while I held the suction in place. "Doing good, buddy."
The little boy squeezed his mom's hand but opened his mouth anyway.
"See?" I smiled. "That wasn't so bad."
A few minutes later, we finished the filling. Dr. Simmons pulled off his gloves. "Great job today, champ."
The little boy grinned before hopping out of the chair. "I was brave."
"You sure were," his mother laughed. "Tell Miss Kaior thank you."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
After they walked out, I started breaking the room down, sending the used instruments into sterilization, wiping down the chair, setting up a fresh tray, and restocking the gloves. I'd barely finished when Jasmine poked her head through the doorway.
"Kaior."
"Hmm?"
"You got another patient in five." She paused, looking confused. "And come up front when you are done. Something going on out here."
