Hayden: Didn’t get to finish what I was saying…

Hayden: I want to spend hours losing myself in her tight, wet pussy. I want to watch her come over and over on my fingers, my tongue, and my cock. Fucking addicted to watching her fall. Beautiful.

“Jesus,” I mutter, shamelessly rubbing my thighs together.

I’ve always enjoyed watching hockey. I mean, that should be obvious, really. I wouldn’t have worked my ass off to get this position if I didn’t. But recently, my enjoyment of the sport has really ramped up, and it has everything to do with the guy who whips around wearing number ninety-six on his jersey.

The last week has been perfect. We’ve spent our days working, focusing on what we do best, before we find our way to each other once we’ve finally made it out of the arena. We’ve spent most of our time at my place, just because generally I’ve finished first, but we’ve had a couple of nights at his. It doesn’t matter to me where we are. Sure, I have my stuff at my place, which makes getting ready for work easier, but honestly, I just enjoy being wherever he is.

It’s sappy and ridiculous, but it’s true, and I refuse to fight against something that feels so right.

We’ve spent our evenings attempting to cook together, something we’ve both discovered we’re not great at, before falling onto the couch or into bed to read. It’s all very domesticated and coupley, but I love it.

It’s all happened so fast that it’s given me whiplash, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hailee: That’s one lucky puck bunny

Hayden: She has no idea. I’ve been told recently that I provide life-changing orgasms.

A laugh erupts from me.

Hailee: I did not say that.

I did. I did say that. It was after one of those life-altering orgasms he’s talking about. The words fell out of my mouth before I had a chance to stop them, and something tells me he’s never going to let me forget it.

Hayden: You did and you know it. And I have every intention of reminding you of exactly why you said it later.

Hayden: What are you wearing tonight?

This isn’t the first time he’s asked this question. In fact, I found him standing in my closet looking through my dresses the other day.

I’m ashamed to say that I freaked out when I did. Memories of my past, of having my entire life decided for me, slammed into me before I had a chance to think with the rational side of my brain.

That isn’t Hayden. He’d never tell me what to do, or what to wear. But seeing him there dragged it all to the surface.

I tried to explain, but I couldn’t find the words I needed, and he didn’t press me for them. Instead, he asked me which I was planning to wear and just let it go.

I’m not sure how I feel about the fact that I packed the one I saw him staring at for longer than the others.

I keep telling myself that I’m not dressing for him, that it has nothing to do with his opinions, but I can’t deny the part of me that wants to please him.

It’s different. He hasn’t put any demands or expectations on me. Instead, I want to bring him to his knees. Especially because he isn’t going to be able to do anything about it while we’re out with the others. I figure that it’s only fair after I had to watch him doing those warmups on the ice earlier. They really hit differently when you know exactly what those hips are capable of. No wonder Parker’s eyes are always glued to Linc while he’s out there pre-game.

Hailee: You’re going to have to wait and see.

Hayden: It’s my jersey, isn’t it?

Hailee: Have patience…

Hayden: When it comes to you, I have zero of that.

Hayden: Just give me a little sneak peek

I place my cell down, and after stripping my game suit off, I walk into the bathroom as my cell dings again. But this time, I don’t respond. He’s gonna have to wait.

It takes me the full hour to get ready, and as my cell is dinging, alerting me that our cars are arriving, I’m putting on a final coat of lipstick.

I know these guys better than I know myself sometimes, and I can predict who’s already downstairs ready to go and who’ll be dragging their heels. I also know who won’t come.
