Gallows shakes his head. “Yes Sunny, makes my balls tingly.” The brothers muffle their snorts. “Something ain’t adding up and until we can figure it out we watch our backs.”

“What do we do about the Wolves?” Hush asks.

Gallows looks around the room, jaw tense. “They keep coming for us? We wipe them out.”

Chapter Twenty One

Revenant

“So, where do we wanna go?” Sunny asks, her feet in my lap as she lounges on the couch.

“I don’t care,” I reply, cupping her foot in my hand and giving it a squeeze. Her tiny pink tipped toes scrunch up a moment and she moans.

“No. Nope. Don't distract me with your magic hands! You’re going to decide where we go for our Claimingmoon.”

“Sunny, I love ya, but what the actual fuck is a claimingmoon?” Brake asks, flopping down on one of the other couches in the common room.

“A claimingmoon. Like a honeymoon, but for Ol Ladies,” Sunny says like it’s obvious.

“Sweetheart, I don’t think that's a thing,” Cedar says from his position in the armchair, Trinity riding his cock.

“I think it’s romantic,” Trinity says on an upstroke.

“See!” Sunny says, pointing at the cut slut, “Trinity gets it! Also, great technique Trin!”

“Thanks babe,” Trinity replies.

“What the actual fuck kind of pastor’s kid are you?” Ledger asks, wide eyed.

Sunny ignores him, choosing to poke me with her big toe. “Choose, big man.” I search her face, her huge brown eyes waiting for my reply. “Look, you know I love you, right?” I nod, because, fuck, I feel how much she loves me every moment we’re together. “God kept you alive for a reason. So live.”

Her words hit me like a sucker punch.

Here I was, questioning my faith, wondering why I was left behind. Maybe this is the reason. Maybe Sunny is my reason.

“I like museums,” I reply and a smile grows on her face.

“Excellent. There’s a place in Germany with the skeleton of a lady saint I’ve always wanted to see.”

Brake snorts and Ledger starts to chuckle and I don’t give a shit. Sunny could say she wants me in a g-string on a waterslide and we all know I’d fucking do it.

“Sounds perfect, babe.”

Sunny squeals, squirms on the couch until we’re eye to eye before pecking me on the lips. “I’m gonna book it. I need the laptop for this.” She bounces off the couch. “The laptop is for big purchases.” She musses my hair before yelling something about Germany to Mercy and then disappears upstairs.

“Well. That happened,” Ledger says.

“Yep.”

Ledger stares at me a moment. “Looks good on you.”

Gallows stomps into the common room, his uneven gait distinguishing him from the other brothers. He comes to a stop beside me, his gaze intense.

“It’s time?”

He dips his chin. “it’s time.”

Rising from the couch I follow my Prez out the door, toward the barn. It’s a short walk, but one I need. To breathe. To focus.
