7 Kimber
We barely make it inside Rich’s front door before I jump him. He isn’t ready, slamming into the wall, and he kicks the door shut as I grip his shoulders and hop up, wrapping my thighs around his hips. His touch is searing when he grips my thighs, skimming the bottom of my ass, and we moan together as we kiss.
Then he flips us, spinning me around to slam me into the wall instead. I gasp into his mouth as his tongue takes control, my back arching against the wall as I grind against him.
My fingers dig into his hair, gripping the longer lengths at the top of his head as he kisses me. I keep rocking into him, feeling how hard he is beneath me, and he growls into my mouth before pulling back just far enough from my lips that he can speak.
“This isn’t talking, Kim.”
I lean forward, ghosting my lips over his before he leans away again and he’s out of reach. “I prefer showing over telling.”
Rich’s eyes are dark as he studies me, and I’m really glad he keeps the light over his front door on. It lets me read the intensity in his eyes. “I don’t play at S&S, Kimber. I don’t know your limits.”
I roll my eyes. For once a nice guy wants to fuck me and he interrupts us trying to confirm what bothers me? I just told him I like being fucked while I’m unconscious and being chokedout. I obviously don’t have many triggers. “Well, keep this up, and I don’t think you’ll find any right now.”
He raises an eyebrow, and I roll my hips forward as a reminder. We don’t have to do thisnow. Then he shifts his grip on my thighs, holding my gaze as he leans forward and presses a hand to the wall by my face. I stiffen, and our gazes lock together. I swallow, but I can’t look away either.
The longer we stare, the more intense it feels. He doesn’t move, just keeping us here, and my body won’t stop tensing. He finally tears his eyes away, sweeping his gaze over me. “Limits, Kim. Everyone has them.”
I blow out a breath, feeling the lust edge away. He slides his arm down the wall until it encircles my waist, and he helps me stand on my feet again.
Blinking, I snap my gaze back up to his. Is this rejection?
Rich dusts me off, sliding his hands across my body. His violet eyes are intent as he watches me, and I don’t know anymore if I’m supposed to be turned on by this or not. “You were being serious earlier when you mentioned primal?”
I swallow, nodding up at him. He bites his lip, and I think he’s trying to control himself. It might be cute if I wasn’t so damn turned on right now.
And so, so confused.
“You want to talk about limits, though,” I remind him, his eyes darkening when I clasp my hands behind my back and sway side to side. “Remember?”
He nods, leaning away from me. Both arms come down from the wall. “Don’t put my hands too close to your head and trap you?”
Rich says it like a question, and I stop swaying and just shrug. I don’t want to go into the reasons why right now. That’s the biggest mood killer I can think of. “Right. Unless you’re wrapping those big hands-”
“Around your throat to choke you out?” he asks knowingly, a smirk working across his face. He looks at me again, his eyes dropping to my feet, and he raises a brow. “Do you have different shoes?”
“Shoes?” I look down at my heels, gorgeous platforms that match my dress almost too perfectly, with straps that circle around my ankle and tie in the back. “What’s wrong with these? They look great up in the air.”
Rich chuckles, grabbing my wrist and pulling me deeper into the house, his fingers brushing over the self harm marks on my wrist. It makes me shudder. Most of the guys I hook up with or get with at the club shy away from them completely.
“You’ve never seen the back of the house,” Rich continues, drawing me from my thoughts. His fingers on my wrist create a fire that roars up my arm, and the same lust from before is back again. I don’t think there’s a bad way he can touch me. “You need different shoes.”
I grip my bag, thinking of the slip-ons I keep for car rides and if my feet hurt after the club. “I have some.”
He nods, gesturing vaguely out the window. “Put them on, Dreamer, if you want to play.”
Instead of replying, I glance to the side. He has large windows that overlook the hilly terrain beyond, and I can see lights of other houses in the distance. I walk closer to the windows. I pause in front of a sliding glass door that almost blends in with the windows, and peer out at the pretty porch, but everything else is shrouded by night and I can’t see anything aside from the vague outline of trees.
My pulse thuds in my chest, causing my hands to clench into fists. Outside of the metro areas, you can find some spaces in Denver that allow for a bit of land, and plenty of neighborhoods are built on wide expanses of land so there’s fields, hills, and plenty of space. The only thing to worry about iswildlife, but with the houses in the distance notthatfar away I doubt there’s too many dangerous things hiding in the dark.
Rich leans over me, his nose brushing my neck again. “There’s a lot of space out there.”
I swallow. “Am I going to trip and die running down the hill?”
He chuckles. “It’s a low grade incline. You won’t notice it much with how fast you need to run.”
My skin flushes at his words. “So… you’ll hunt me?”
