“Jake, I—”

“I do too, baby.” He captures my lips and kisses me in the same way he makes love to me. His bare cock slides over the hyper-sensitive spot inside me and I fall once again with Jake’s name on my lips. He follows after me, breathing heavy into the crook of my neck and nipping at my earlobe.

An hour later, we’re showered, in our pyjamas, and cuddled as close as two people can be. Jake’s fingers trail patterns over my naked shoulders.

“Today didn’t go quite how I was expecting.”

“I’m sorry, that’s my fault.” He kisses the top of my head. “Are you mad?”

“No,” I chuckle. “You still want to take me out in the New Year?”

“Yep,” he answers immediately.

I bite my lip, my smile still fighting through. “So, are you, like, my boyfriend now?”

“Yep.” Again, his answer comes with no hesitation and my heart bursts.

I roll over him and kiss him with everything I have. “Merry Christmas, Santa.”

His smile is devastating as he brushes my hair from my face. “Merry Christmas, little elf.”

EPILOGUE

“That’s…archaic.”

ONE YEAR LATER

NEL

"Okay guys, that is my Christmas day makeup. I hope you liked this tutorial and make use of it tomorrow. I wish you all a fabulous Christmas and I’ll be back in the New Year with some more posing tips and regular shoot updates. A lot of you have been asking for it, so I will be doing another couples posing video; yes, my boyfriend will be helping out. No, he will not be shirtless. Although, he is very flattered by all your requests. Merry Christmas everyone, I’ll see you next year.”

I wave at the screen of my phone and stop the recording. I’ll edit and post it first thing in the morning, Christmas Eve. Checking myself in the mirror, I’m happy with the makeup look I’ve created, so I turn off my ring light and pack away my makeup case.

“I’m your boyfriend now?” Jake says, sat up against the headboard, he’s already dressed and ready to go. He crosses his arms over his chest and tries for a glare but the smirk on his lips is reflected in his eyes.

“I can’t exactly tell them lot until I’ve told Harry now, can I?” I purse my lips at him.

“But you’re not posting it until tomorrow.” He stands and makes his way over to me at the small dresser of the hotel room.

“No,” I agree slowly as he leans on the armrests either side of me, caging me in.

“I’m not your boyfriend anymore, little elf.”

“Oh, I’m little elf again now, am I?” I smirk.

“You’re always little elf to me,fiancé.”

I look down at the simple solitaire on my ring finger and bite my lip to keep in my heady excitement.

“Just think, this time next year, you’ll be Mrs. Partridge.”

I throw my head back and laugh. “You think we’ll be able to plan and pay for a wedding in twelve months?”

“No?”

“No,” I shake my head and peck his lips. “Come on, Mr. Partridge, we’ve got to get to Harry and Lisa’s by seven. I read the itinerary this year and won’t waste my revision by being late.”

“Fine,” he concedes. “You do know that Harry probably knows we’re engaged, right?”
