They went deeper and hit my pleasure spot. I knew it was coming. I knew I couldn’t stop it. “Please, alpha, I’m going to- I need-” I tried to speak.

“Speak clearly, omega,” he ordered, as he entered another finger and moved even faster. It stretched and it burned and I was trying to hold it to be good for my alpha.

“Please, can I release, alpha? Please, I need to cum, alpha!” I cried and sobbed, but he said nothing. He just kept going harder, hitting that spot again and again. It felt like forever. I was writhing and moaning, I kept begging, using my words, saying “please, alpha, please.”

“Now,” he said, and I felt it coming out in small bursts. Even from behind, a wetness trickled out like I was in the throes of heat. It was more intense than any release I ever experienced before. I wasn’t even done cumming when I was hoisted up and thrown on the bed, back facing upwards.

“I’m going to knot you today,” he said. My vision went blurry. I cried again. I nodded. I resumed the begging from before.

“Yes, please, alpha,” I whimpered.

“Needy omega,” he said. He slapped me again, right where it was hurting already. He held me upright while coming up on his knees behind me. He bit into my shoulder. My sobbing never stopped. I was wrecked. He pressed up against me and smirked. “You’re a mess,” he said. “My beautiful omega, all messed up, because he can’t listen to his alpha.”

He pushed me forward. I felt my hips pulled backward when something touched the rim of my entrance. Slowly, I feltit filling me. It was painful and endless, and I felt like he owned me now. Like that was something I had been waiting for. It kept going. I was screaming in pain and in pleasure. “Alpha,” I softly spoke, as that was all I could do.

When he bottomed out, I felt full and right and wholly omega. A feeling I never knew I was craving. He moved before I was ready, but I did not tell him to stop. I wanted to take it. I wanted to be good for him.

It went on forever. He hit the spot that was already overstimulated again and again, until I could no longer cry. He was fucking me like a werewolf, and I was not made for his size. Yet I was made for him, and I wanted all of it.

When I finally felt his seed filling me, and his knot expand, I did not even fear what was to come. I was so spent and fucked out that it made me feel fulfilled. Like I did my duty. Like I did what I was made to do. I have no memory of what happened after that. I must have lost consciousness again.

When I woke up the next day, the General was gone. He left me sleeping in a clean bed wearing the shirt he wore the day before. He must have carried me, cleaned me up, changed me, and changed the sheets all by himself, because an alpha would certainly not let anyone touch his omega in that state.

I did not get up out of bed for hours. Even Espen did not bother me that day. Every once in a while, the door opened just a crack, and food, warm blankets, coats and hot tea were shoved into the room. Still, there was work to be done. I was due for the nightshift.

Seventy nights after meeting the General

Time was filled with injured soldiers coming from further down south than ever before. The werewolves were fighting humans by the old forest. This was not only unprecedented. It was unthinkable. Still, only one human captive had been brought here so far. He had been here for days now, remaining eerily silent.

I did not see much of Axel even though I went to bed well into the night. He was busy with military matters. I tried not to think about how little he informed me of his whereabouts. If he kept quiet so as not to worry me, his efforts were futile. The only thing that kept me from worrying was the ever-increasing amount of injured soldiers to tend to. I manoeuvred through makeshift beds and worried wives and omegas all through the night.

During my shifts I avoided Inge like the plague. I knew I had to speak to him about Axel’s reasons for not mating me, but I did not want to divulge any details that would make me flushed.

Their feud was completely unnecessary. Both were too proud to speak on it first. I counted the hours until I was alone.

When I was finally alone during the late shift, I started on a medicinal stew. The human was the only one still awake. He pretended he was asleep. I could tell from his breathing that it was a lie.For a while it was quiet. Just the sound of deep breathing and a low little hum as I stirred the contents of a cast iron pot.

Then, a hand at my throat. A knife in that hand.

“Don’t speak,” he said. I knew it was him. The human from the bed. How he freed himself with only one arm, I never found out. The knife, he got out of my own belt. I recognised the engraving on the back of the blade. With his arm around my throat, he pulled me out of the room. No one noticed. No one was awake to see, and I did not have the guts to scream with the threat of beheading looming over me.

I went with him quietly. No reason to be rash. I would wait for any opportunity to get out of the situation.

We moved to the courtyard. A risky move, out in the open. He carried me towards a dimly lit hallway. The sun had set long ago, but not everyone in the castle could be asleep. Inside, there were sure to be soldiers playing cards, officials still deliberating, omegas finishing up their evening meals. Anyone could spot us at any given moment. I felt his heart beating loudly, as his chest touched my back.

“The emperor wants you,” he said. “You’re the traitor, aren’t you? The druid that he is looking for?” I laughed.

“How can I betray a man who never wanted my kind to be alive in the first place?” I asked. He put the knife closer to my throat. I felt it touch me as I swallowed.

“If I bring you back with me, he will let me live,” he said.

“He won’t,” I answered. “Besides, how are you going to get me back to the empire? Through the forest? You will never survive,” I said.

“I don’t have to take you back. I just have to get you to the seashore.”

It hit me then. The sound of the marketplace. A bustling city. The scent of the sea.

“Why is the navy stuck here in Auriyonne, while our brothers are out fighting rebels up north,” I heard a tall soldier complain. As if fighting would bring him anything but death.
