I would do sobriety for her.

Just not today.

Chapter

Tatum

Hadthe night before been a dream?

I’d woken up in the big bed at the back of the tour bus when I knew for certain I’d fallen asleep on the bench seat near the front, and while I might have attributed my midnight meltdown in the bunk to a nightmare, I could still feel the steady beat of Tobias’s heart in my ear as he carried me into the light.

On the definitely a dream side of the argument? Falling asleep sandwiched between the twins. Calix, of all people, wrapped tightly against my back while Tobias proved his brother didn’t hold a monopoly on vocal talent.

I’d never had anyone support me through one of my panic attacks before. While it felt like an eternity passed while I was trapped in the darkness, I knew logically that they had reacted quickly. Whenever I’d had the attacks in the past, I screamed until I was hoarse, and my muscles ached for days afterward from the effort to hold myself together.

Today, my voice was perfectly normal, and it was all thanks to one man who spent so much time running from his demons that he was rarely present in the moment, and another who thought I was the enemy.

I slid a look across the green room to where Calix and Toby sat chatting with a group of teen boys whose hero worship oozed from every inch of their bodies. Meanwhile, Harvey edged along the far wall, his eyes glued to their twenty-something chaperone.

These guys were like herding freaking cats. As soon as I got one sorted, the others were finding mischief to get into.

Checking Otis had eyes on the twins, I intercepted Harvey, giving my best no-nonsense glare.

“Don’t you dare.”

The chaperone glanced at us, and I gave her a smile. Nothing to see here. We’re all friends. She dismissed us just as quickly, returning her attention to her own charges who were wriggling progressively closer to Calix as he tried to maintain his personal space with a plastic smile. Harvey shifted beside me.

“Come on…I have the bluest balls right now. It’s life or death!”

I dug my nails into his forearm, ignoring the way the muscles tensed beneath my fingers.

“No.”

He gave an experimental tug, then sighed when I tightened my grip.

“I’ll be quick. They won’t even know she’s gone. You’re supposed to look after my needs, manager. I need to get off.”

I was tempted to point out that being quick wasn’t anything to brag about, but he had a point about looking after him. The bathroom door was directly beside Harvey, and as I hesitated, his face lit up. This was a terrible idea. If I let him keep getting away with railing everyone who crossed his path, he’d end up with a venereal disease. Or an assault charge. Or an illegitimate child.

Fuck. Me.

Before I had a chance to rethink my decision, I grabbed a handful of his shirt and dragged him into the bathroom, double checking the door locked behind me before I tackled his belt buckle.

“What are you doing?” His voice had a tinge of confusion in it, but his smirk was pure approval.

“Sucking your stupid dick. Now shut the hell up. It’s my job to keep you out of trouble.”

He hummed, squeezing his growing erection as I pushed his tight jeans down over his ass.

“This is a fucking brilliant idea.”

“No talking.”

He snorted, widening his stance as much as he could with his pants around his thighs as I sank to my knees. This was a fucking awful idea, but what else could I do?

His cock was a nice average size, bigger than Adam’s, but nowhere near the size of Calix or Tobias’s monsters…not that I’d seen Tobias erect. Did that make it worse?
