“Maybe because I wanted to dance and have fun with my friend. How would I know you were here?”

He narrows his eyes slightly. “Youdidget my name tattooed on your skin. Maybe you’re some kind of stalker. Do you still have it?” He takes one hand off the railing and caresses the side of my breast where his name is.

My body betrays me and shivers.

He grins wickedly at my reaction.

Ignoring my body’s response, I say, “I’m not a stalker, and I had it lazered off as soon as I could.”

Placing his finger under my chin, he stares deep into my eyes. “Liar.”

“Why would I keep a stranger's name on my body?” I try to add some boldness in my voice.

“Because it thrills you. Gets you hot in the middle of the night. Makes you want to touch yourself and imagine it’s me. I bet it’s the most exciting thing you’ve done… well, until tonight.”

“Please move so I can leave.” I don’t have to answer him.

Kade pushes casually off the railing. With a hard expression, he says, “Next time I see you spying at my window, Daisy Chain, you’ll be joining me on that bed.”

I pull back my shoulders, calling for bravado I don’t feel. Who the hell is he to speak to me like that? Yes, earlier I’d wished I could join him. But telling me infuriates me. I’m not somedesperate woman who will bow down to him because he says so. “There won’t be a next time. I won’t be coming back.”

His lips tilt into a crooked grin. Leaning toward me, he takes my hand and slips something into my palm. “You’ll be back. You won’t be able to stay away.” And with a devilish wink, he saunters away.

CHAINS

Sittinginmyoffice,I check the monitors that scan all areas of the club. Instead of focusing on any trouble or disturbances amongst the crowd, my attention is zeroed in on one person.

Daisy.

She’s near the front entrance with her friend from the tattoo shop. Daisy latches onto her friend’s wrist, says a few words, and they leave in a hurry.

What the hell was she doing in my club? Did she know this is my place? She said she didn’t know I’d be here, but was she telling the truth?

I spotted her the moment she walked in, in that skintight outfit; her tits almost falling out of the low-cut top. The timidness that shone out of her only made her look awkward and uncomfortable—like the clothes and venue were things she was not used to. What is she doing in a place like Chains? Put her in a book club, and she’d look right at home. I’d put my money on her friend bringing her here.

The last thing I need is her coming to my club and disturbing my already fucked up mind. Ever since the night we bumped into each other, she’s been my muse. Whether I’m home alone jerking off or fucking other women, she’s on my mind. Why can’t I get her out of it? Her squeaky-clean image, even though she tried to hide it behind her skimpy clothes, is far from my type. Yet she had the guts to follow me upstairs and watch me fuck. And let me touch her on the deck. Maybe she’s not as squeaky-clean as I first thought.

I knew she’d followed me. Once she saw what was happening, I thought she’d run away. She didn’t. She fucking stayed until the end. I’ve been watched having sex before, have never been shy, but I never felt so buzzed in my life. Extreme self-control stopped me from dragging her inside, bending her over my bed and pounding into her. Would she have let me? If she was excited to watch, maybe she would. But not a threesome. As much as I like it, there’s no way I’d want to share her with anyone else.

I want her for myself.

And that’s another problem. I’ve never wanted a woman for myself. I’m always happy to share. Another reason she needs to stay the hell away from me. I can’t be thinking shit like that.

If I want to get her out of my mind, I have to keep my distance. Never cross paths with her again. As time goes by and with multiple women to lose myself in, she’ll eventually become a blur in my mind. So why the fuck did I slide two yearly membership passes into her hand? Do I want to keep torturing myself?

Surely, after what happened tonight, there’s no way she’ll be back. This isn’t a place for her. I’m not the man to have a little fun with if that’s why she came here.

“Hey, Chains. How are things going tonight?” Lincoln asks, walking into the office, Asher close behind.

“It’s pretty quiet. Nothing security can’t handle.” I keep my eyes focused on the screens, deep down hoping she’ll come back in.Fuck me. I need serious help.

Lincoln straddles a chair next to me, and Asher props a hip on the edge of the desk. “Saw you on the ob deck. Since when do you hang out there?” Lincoln asks.

Scratching my fingers through my buzz cut, I stay focused on the monitors. “Had something to attend to.”

“It wouldn’t have anything to do with the hot little number you were with? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you look at a woman with love hearts shooting out of your eyeballs.” Lincoln laughs.
