“My turn.” Her eyes burn with a scorching stare as it travels down my body to my cock that’s bobbing between us, only inches from her mouth.
“There’s no pressure,” I mutter, and her gaze flicks up to mine.
Without a word, she moves fast, her fingers wrapping around my length and tugging me forward. As she pumps me base to tip, she’s all sass and strength, knowing exactly what she wants and not afraid to take it.
“Matt, shush. I would love—love—to suck your dick, okay? I want to make your eyes roll to the back of your head, I want to feel your balls tighten in my hand, and I want to feel your cum drip down the back of my throat. Is that all okay with you?”
I throb in her hand, and my mouth dries as I struggle to nod, needing to feel what she described more than I need anything else. “Fuck, yes.”
“Good boy,” she murmurs.
Her tongue wetting her bottom lip is the only warning I get before she sucks me into her mouth, and I levitate off of the damn bed from how good it feels.
She takes me inch by inch, and my cock stretches the sides of her mouth. Her eyes start to water as she struggles to take more. But it’s okay. We’ll get there.
Besides, I’m seconds from being a whimpering mess, and as if on cue, she massages my balls and pumps her mouth down mylength. Once. Twice. And just like that, I’m a goner, spilling into her mouth as I groan and grunt, her name grinding out between my teeth.
“Fuck, Shay.”
As she backs up, my dick pops out, leaving the warmth of her mouth.
She swallows hard, licking her lips, her eyes clearly hungry for more. “Not bad, MacArthur.”
“Hmm.” I slide my fingers under her chin and guide her up to her full height on the ground in front of me. My hands find her jaw, my thumbs stroking her cheeks. “You’re such a hard-ass.”
She bites down on a giggle. “Well, duh. How else am I supposed to help you improve?”
I chuckle, leaning forward and pressing a kiss against her forehead. “Well, I guess I’ll just have to get more practice in then.”
“Yeah, you should.” She tucks her tongue to the side, between her teeth. “But you’re going to have to win before that can happen.”
“Ugh,” I groan, dropping my forehead to hers. “You drive a hard bargain, Rooney.”
She shrugs, melting into my hands. “It’s because I believe in you.”
I groan, tipping my head back. “Once this season is over, we’re turning our phones off and only focusing on each other … and Kyle.” Meeting her eyes again, I press a quick peck to her lips.
She kisses me back. “Sounds like a great plan to me. But first, we’ve gotta focus on our jobs, win this thing, and then I’m all yours.”
CHAPTER 19
MATT
Our night together was unforgettable and perfect. It did little to wane my feelings for Shay or the burning desire between us, but I had known that was never going to be the outcome when we agreed to have just one taste of each other.
It did, however, solidify our connection and gave me a glimpse at what we have to look forward to once we win the Cup. Many things will be celebrated that day.
The Nighthawks are closer to victory than the franchise has ever been, and if we can win this next series, we’ll take it all. That’s the focus right now, and having a partner who understands that and is just as hungry for it only fuels me more. It’s indescribable.
Just because we’ve drawn the line at having secret hookups or touching doesn’t mean that I haven’t called her every night and lit her phone up with texts. We’ve been digitally inseparable, and I would say that I’ve been doing a good job at not making our relationship obvious when we’re at the arena, but Costy would disagree with that.
Today, I get to see her a couple of times.
Once was at morning skate this morning, where she was wearing one of her Nighthawks sweat sets. I caught her staring a couple of times with heated eyes, which definitely made it a little distracting. Especially when I started getting flashbacks of her splayed out before me, moaning my name. But somehow, I played better than ever. Maybe our one-off hookup will pay off, or I got lucky. We shall see.
I’ll see her again tonight when we take on the Washington Wild, our longtime rival, in game one of the finals. They’re a damn good team with crazy talent. But so are we. In an hour, we’ll see who comes out on top when the game starts.
My headphones are on, drowning out the world, the same thing I always do before a game. A song comes on that I don’t want to hear right now, so I dig my phone out of my hoodie pocket and skip it, finding a few messages.
