He raked his gaze over my body and gave me a wolfish smile. “They’re good genetics.”

“Flattery will get you everywhere.” I took a sip of my beer then grimaced when I realized it had gone warm.

“You’re even hot when you’re disgusted.” Jax laughed. We’d already eaten and had paid for our meal and our drinks, but Jax peeled a bill out of his wallet and tucked it under his empty glass. “Do you want to get out of here?”

“I thought you’d never ask.” Jax followed me out, and I melted at the way he reached for me, pressing his hand to my lower back. I loved the way it made me feel protected.

When we got to his car, instead of opening the door, he pinned me to the side of the car. Warm hands cradled my face and he slotted his leg between mine when he kissed me. I let out a little moan and then fell into the kiss, letting him lead.

Jax kissed me like he was born for it. Like he needed it to survive. Like I was oxygen. And I kissed him like he was the future. Forever. Like he was the best thing that ever happened to me.

He licked at the seam of my lips then slipped between them when I parted for him. The only thing holding me up now was the car I was pressed against and the hands that were still cupping my face. My legs had turned to mush and my head was as light as a feather. All the blood in my body pooled between my legs and I rocked against Jax, grinding my cock against his.

Jax pulled back, and I whimpered at him.

“Tease,” I said, reaching down to adjust myself as he put even more space between us.

“I only meant to kiss you. I didn’t mean for us to frot in the parking lot.” Jax laughed as he copied me and rearranged himself. “If I was wearing my shorts, I wouldn’t be this uncomfortable right now.” He lamented the fact that he wore jeans out for our date.

“You can wear your shorts whenever you want, babe. You don’t need to get all fancy for me. But look on the bright side; the jeans help hide your current predicament.”

After a quick glance around to make sure the coast was clear, I skimmed my hand over the bulge in his jeans. Jax scowled and stepped away.

“Just wait until I get you alone,” he warned, narrowing his eyes at me.

“Oooh, scary.” Even if I had tried, I wouldn’t have been able to wipe the smile off my face.

Jax stepped closer and for a second I thought he was going to kiss me again, but he pulled the passenger door open. “Get in the car, Blue.”

“You’re bossy tonight. I kind of like it.”

When we got on the road, it was clear that we weren’t headed to any of our usual places. Not my place, or his, or Asher’s. And we zipped past the turnoff for Lukas’s neighborhood. The sexual tension was still thick in the car, and I’d thought about taking my cock out and teasing Jax, but I had too much respect life to risk it doing something so reckless.

“Where are we going?” I asked as Jax turned down a road I didn’t recognize. There were no people on this road and lots of trees. It twisted and turned and went up a hill and both sides were lined with trees, giving no indication of where we were.

“You’ll see,” Jax answered. “We’re almost there.”

Then he turned down a different road and we suddenly spilled out into a clearing. He slowed to a crawl, then parked the car.

“What is this place?” I asked, looking around. And then it dawned on me. A road that led up a hill. A hill that overlooked the town with a place to park cars. “Oh, my God. Is this where people go to make out?”

I turned back to Jax, who already had his seat belt off. When I saw him move toward me, I unbuckled mine too.

I reached for him. “This is like a cheesy porno. Lukas is going to be so mad he’s not here with his camera.”

We met in a clash of lips and teeth over the center console. Our hands grabbed at each other, tugged on clothing, looking for bare skin. For connection. The kiss went from zero to a million in three seconds. All night I’d watched Jax and the way he looked at me, and I’d imagined kissing him like this. Deep and hard and frantic. So hot we could scorch the earth.

And that’s when Jax pulled away. “Back seat?”

“Say less.” I practically dove through the gap in the front seats, which looked easier when people on television did it. I got stuck partway and Jax had to give me a boost, which gave him an excuse to cop a feel of my ass.

By the time I got situated in the back seat, I was winded and rumpled. I tried to straighten out and catch my breath, but Jax got out of the car, then came in through the back door.

“Oh sure, be sensible.” I grabbed him and pulled him down on top of me. He landed a bit hard, knocking the air out of me. “Oomph.”

I didn’t even mind that he laughed because he looked at me like I was his favorite constellation. The prettiest sunset. The most vibrant flower in the bouquet.

He kissed me like I was precious and then he kissed me like I was his favorite sin. He kissed me deep like he’d never get tothe bottom of me and slow like he wanted to enjoy every minute of the journey. My blood turned to fire when he touched me. He slotted himself between my legs, pinning one to the back seat. The other, he hiked up to make more room for himself.
