“What if they don’t like me?”

“Who? My parents? They already love you, my maman doesn’t cook for just anyone.”

“Is everything okay?”

“Of course it is, why do you ask?”

“Well, you said everyone would meet tomorrow when my family gets here. But now you’re saying it’s happeningtonight.”

“Julian showing up today is making me worry. I had hoped that he would’ve left you alone. But I don’t think he will.”

“I told him no again.”

“I know, mon rêve, but it doesn’t seem like he cares that you’re saying no to him.”

She sighs as she hugs me.

“I hate that I made the wrong choice with him.”

“Well, think about it this way. If you hadn’t come here, we never would’ve met. And I for one am happy that you’re here.” I lean down and kiss her. The soft moan she lets out has me instantly hard and is making me rethink the going slow part of our relationship.

I think tonight we need to have a conversation about us too. She’s mine and I want her to know that.

CHAPTER SEVEN

Michel

“I’d like to talk to you before everyone gets here,” I say to her as I pat the couch next to me.

“Are you okay?” she asks as she sits with me on the couch.

“I’m good. I just wanted to talk to you about us.”

“Us?” She smiles.

“Yes, us,” I say as I pull her closer to me.

She laughs as I lean down and kiss her.

“I want it to be clear that you’re mine. I told you I’d take this as slow as you want and I’m not going back on that. I just want to make sure you know where I stand.”

“I’m yours? So does that mean you’re mine, too?”

“Yes. From now until forever.”

“Thank you for saving me. And thank you for making sureI’m safe here.”

I lean down and kiss her, pulling her onto my lap. I continue kissing her as I lay her back. Just as I’m sliding my hand up her body, there’s a knock at the door. Fuck me. I look at my watch and it’s five-fifty.

I sigh. “Family’s here.”

She giggles as I kiss her one more time. I go over and open the door, the first one I see is Eros.

“You have such awesome timing. And you’re early.”

“Well, I’m hungry and we need to order dinner,” Apollo says from the side.

“Of course you are.” I laugh and move aside so they can all come in.
