“Fuck,” he breathed. “You’re tight.”
“I haven’t… Only in dream-walks.”
The shadows in his eyes darkened, and he took a deep breath as if fighting for control.
“I’ll go slow.”
I nodded, not even sure if I wanted slow.
His tongue swiped back and forth as he slowly moved inside me. At first, it was perfect, but then my desire rose and my body stretched.
“Faster.”
Ronen hummed against my clit, pleased. Utensils and bowls rattled. The noises competed with my breathy gasps and moans. But the more sound I made, the more Ronen devoured me, as if it were his reward. And every time I saidplease, his tongue moved in a way that brought me to the edge. My ache was at the point of bursting. I breathed his name more times than I could count.
He moved up to my ear while his fingers continued their rhythm, his palm brushing my clit. “You’re close, gorgeous. Do you like how they feel inside you?”
Heavenly Shit.
“Can you imagine what it’d feel like if it were my cock?”
His words painted an image in my mind that sent me over the edge. My cries echoed through the arched ceiling. Light and color sparked and swirled in my vision while bliss washed through my muscles, liquifying me. I panted, dazed.
He continued moving until my throbs slowed, then stopped. His shadows released me, sliding down my naked body in a caress and teasing my sensitive clit. I flinched. Ronen’s self-satisfied expression said it all.
“You begged.” He grinned.
“You cheated.” Not sure how. But I sure wasn’t going to build his ego with the truth.
“Hmm.” That one short sound held enough cocky amusement to drown a pack of Hellhounds. He leaned down to my ear. “That’s called winning, gorgeous.”
And because I was a sore loser—in more ways than one—I scooped up a large portion of caramel and wiped it all over his face. “And I call that a sneak attack.”
He stared at me with his mouth slightly open, nostrils flaring, and a second punishment lurking in his gaze. Messy and Ronen were two words that didn’t go together. While baking, he had cleaned up after himself, keeping his area as pristine as possible. Even his room reflected his need for organization and cleanliness. The only time he ever seemed unkempt was after training, but no one left that arena without a coating of sand and sweat on their body.
“Oh, Hellion.” He shook his head, pulled me up, and nuzzled his sticky face against mine.
I giggled, trying to bat him away, which only made him laugh. I loved the sound. I wanted to record it so I could play it on repeat, remembering this moment forever. Remembering his joy. Unfettered. And all mine.
I drew back, thoroughly sticky and in need of a shower. But mygiggles cut off when I realized how close his lips were—the decision to claim him sitting a fraction of a second away.
Like it’d ever be that easy.
“It’s late,” I murmured. “We should probably go to bed.” I twisted and slipped one half of my dress on, then the other, buttoning it back up.
When I looked at him, his eyes were black and his face a mask.
“Are you okay?”
He nodded and dressed, but the mood had drastically changed.
Was it because I didn’t kiss him? It couldn’t be.
He knew the terms and agreed. But I didn’t know what caused his sudden dark mood.
We quietly walked back to our rooms, both in need of a good shower. My thoughts drifted to the conversation I’d had with Oliver the other night. Ronen would want to know. But he was already in a sour mood. I couldn’t tell him now… right? Lost in my thoughts, I stopped at Oliver and Aspen’s door. Ronen stopped at mine.
He stilled. There was no time to slide up next to him and act like I’d been there the entire time. He knew I wasn’t beside him anymore. He knew where I stood.
