Still reeling from our session, I walk through the enormous living room and into the kitchen, watching the sun rise out the tall windows facing the mountain. Snow falls gently in the distance, and thin streaks of light penetrate the clouds. The view is incredible. Unreal.

“No?” Rourke chuckles. “Wherewouldyou picture me? Down in a city? Dressed in the latest fashion?”

I’m wearing one of his T-shirts now, and it twists around my thighs as I turn back to face him. He’s still shirtless, wearing only a pair of briefs that barely hold back his…unit.I start to tingle as my eyes follow the lines of his muscles.

“No, the mountain definitely suits you. But, Rourke, this place is so beautiful. I could stare at it all day.”

He raises his chin and drags his eyes up my body.

“I’ve got something else I could stare at all day.”

My chest warms, and my cheeks start to prickle as he steps up and wraps his arms around me. It’s hard to believe thismagnificent mountain man is holding me—treating me like I belong to him.

He slips his middle finger up and under the hem of my shirt, and I let out a tiny gasp as he gently teases my clit. The jolt goes straight through me, and he captures my cry with his lips, kissing me deeply, slowly.

“Can I make you some breakfast?” he asks. “I normally just have a smoothie and a protein bar, but I can make you some eggs if you’d like. Or pancakes? Or both? I’ve got bacon—”

“Oh, come on,” I sigh. “Don’t tell me you can cook too.”

He shrugs, running his hands up my thighs and grabbing my ass with just the right amount of pressure.

“It’s just one of my…many talents.”

Before I can respond, he spanks me, causing my breath to catch. He turns, and I spank him back, realizing for the first time that he’s got agreat butt.Sculpted, muscled, and a bit of a bubble if I’m being honest.

My mind goes blank as I watch him move across the kitchen, gathering ingredients, preparing them, working the stove like a master chef. The sunlight continues to rise, bathing the entire room in a golden glow.

I don’t say a single word as he cooks, and by the time my eggs, bacon, and pancakes are ready, I feel like I’ve been swept into another world.

“Eat up,” he says, setting my meal in front of me.

“I guess you really meant it when you called meprincess.”I wink, stuffing my mouth with scrambled egg. I didn’t realize just how hungry I was until now. The taste overwhelms me, and I moan. “Oh my God, these might be the best eggs I’ve ever had. No. They are the best eggs I’ve ever had.”

“Just wait until you see what else I make.”

He sits down in front of me and digs in. We watch each other eat as the sun continues to rise. His muscles practically glow in the golden light.

“So you were ready to leave it all behind.”

I stop, fork in hand. I know what he’s getting at. He had to bring it up at some point.

“I mean, what would you do if your father sold you off like cattle?”

He nods in agreement. “You have no one else to go to? No family? A boyfriend?”

I frown. “You think if I had a boyfriend we’d have done…what we did?”

Rourke just smiles. “What about friends?”

“No.” I shake my head. “I have one, Tiff, but she went off to school, and we haven’t talked in a while.”

He nods and tears off a piece of my bacon. “What about your mom?”

I shake my head. “Nope. Mom died when I was twelve. Car crash. Wouldn’t that have been ironic if I died that way too?”

Rourke chuckles grimly. “Ironic wouldn’t be the first word I’d use.”

The next thing I know, he’s pulling his stool up beside me and has his big, muscled arm around my waist.
