Olivia turned around from the front seat to look between us. “Don’t take this the wrong way, but the three of us have done enough talking about this relationship to last a lifetime. I want todateyou. Take me somewhere fun. Let’sdosomething and then go home and do each other.”
I laughed. “Wow, I can’t argue with her plan. You?” I asked, looking at Jace in the rearview mirror.
“She had me atdo each other,” he said.
“I have an idea,” I said, putting my hand on her knee.
“Good.” She faced the front of the car again. “It better be loud and fun because I haven’t had a night out like this since before Kaylee was born.”
“We’ll go to Jace’s favorite hookup spot,” I said, smirking at him. I turned to Olivia. “Are you up for a queer bar with a lot of music and dancing?”
“Yes!” she exclaimed, bouncing in her seat with excitement.
“You really never took her out to do fun things?” I scolded Jace playfully.
“She’s a very committed mother,” he said. “And the few times I’ve taken her out without Kaylee we went to quiet places since she always said she was overstimulated and wanted quiet.”
“He’s not wrong,” Olivia said. “I do like the quiet, and I choose not to go out and stay home with Kaylee most of the time. But now I havetwo hot dates, and I want to grind all over you and let the music flow through me. I want to be fun again!”
“Like you were the night you got knocked up?” I teased.
“Yes. Because that was still one of the best nights of my life,” she said with a satisfied smile.
“Mine too.” I took her hand in mine, and a few minutes later, I pulled into a spot on the street a block away from Fusion.
Chapter Thirty-Nine
Jace
“Who are you andwhat have you done with the nervous Kayden I met in this bar a few months ago?” I asked, letting my eyes roam appreciatively over the man I’d fallen madly in love with. He was still the same guy I’d met that night—the same glasses, jeans, and a tucked-in button down; still gorgeous—but this time he had a confident energy that made him radiant. He was living his truth, letting himself belong here in a way he hadn’t that night, and he’d never looked better.
Kayden let go of Liv’s hand and grabbed me by the waist, pulling me against his body. “I’m not hiding anymore, Jace. I want everyone in this room to know you’re ours.” He kissed me deeply, before kissing his way down my jaw.
“Good, because I am.” I reached for Olivia and pulled her against my side and kissed her while Kayden trailed his way down my neck. “You want to dance with us, sweetheart?” I asked.
“Yes,” she said, already tugging me toward the dance floor.
I tightened my grip on Kayden’s hand, bringing him with us. He shook his head. “You’re only getting one dance out of me.”
We reached the dance floor and carved out a spot in the crowd and I spun Olivia around and boxed her in between Kayden and me. “Is this what you want, Liv? Your two men pressed against you tonight?”
“Yes,” she said, her back against Kayden. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and he placed one hand on her hip as he moved against her to the hip-hop beat. He reached for me with his other hand and held my hips against her as I wrapped my arms around his waist, caging her between us. She swayed to the music looking between us with a smile on her face that was more relaxed than I was used to seeing with her.
She’d spent years giving up moments like this to be with her daughter. The thought of her letting go and prioritizing herself and a relationship with us made me lean into her, unable to suppress my urge to kiss her. “I love seeing you like this, Liv,” I said. “You’re so beautiful.” I ran my fingers over Kayden’s cheek. “You’re both glowing and it makes me so happy.”
Olivia grinned and tipped her head back to look at Kayden. He stepped in closer and bent down to kiss her neck as his hold on me tightened. “This is a little different from the last time we danced together,” she teased him.
I raised an eyebrow. “I need to hear more about the night you two met if Kayden was dancing.”
Olivia pulled her bottom lip between her teeth. “I can tell you about everything except the dancing. Wedding dancing stays at the wedding.”
“I thought the wedding was in Boston, not Vegas,” I said.
Kayden laughed and leaned over Olivia to kiss me before nuzzling Liv’s neck. “We can tell him, beautiful. I’m willing to admit that I danced like a fool to impress a gorgeous woman, just like I’m doing right now.”
Olivia grinned and pulled his mouth to hers. The sight of them kissing while we all moved in time with the music sent blood rushing to my dick. They kept their lips pressed together, moving in a rhythm that matched the way her hips moved against mine.
“I’ll get you both a drink,” Kayden said, stepping to the side. “I want to watch you dance together for a while.”
