“Like . . .” She squirmed in her seat, then lowered her voice. “Like being made toyou knowuntil I can’t.”

I was being a little bit of a tease because I knew exactly what she meant. But I wanted to hear her say it. “What doesyou knowmean to you, Madi?”

Her pretty blue eyes iced over and narrowed on me. “You know exactly what I mean.”

“Mm-hmm, I don’t think I do. I think clear language would be helpful here.”

Madi leaned forward. “I want you to make me come until I’m begging you to stop, then I want you to make me come again. Do you know what coming means, Mr. Whynot? Orgasms. Many, many orgasms.”

I laughed from the streak of fire in her words. Just hearing her say it struck my cock like a match and I shifted in my seat, my spine stiffening. “I can do that.”

Madi studied me for a few seconds and exhaled. “You’re going to drive me a little wild, aren’t you?”

“Only in the best way,” I promised.

The rest of our coffee date flew by in a whirlwind. It’d been a long time since I’d wished I could sit and talk with someone for hours, but I felt that way about her. When she lit up talking about something she loved, it was like watching fireworks burst above a clear lake. Hearing her ramble about animation and art and her favorite places to eat tapas in LA filled a cavern in my heart with something soft and warm.

I held open the door for her to Whynot Stay, wishing we could keep talking until the stars came out. But we’d wrapped up our lunch and I’d walked her a couple blocks “home”.

“So what animation are you working on now?” I asked her.

“Well, I need to figure that out still,” she said. “I’ve been making a lot of random story boards. Getting back into the flow of work, but without a company breathing down my neck. It’s been nice.”

I followed her through the lobby and we slowed as we came to the stairs. Madi stopped on a step and turned to look down at me. Every part of me wanted to reach for her, but I kept my hands by my side.

“I’ll get started on something fresh today,” she said. “Or, at least I’ll try to. My hope is it’ll heal a part of me.”

“I hope so too,” I said softly. “Well, more so I hope you find inspiration here.”

“I think I have,” she whispered, searching my eyes.

I stuck my hands in my pockets. It was the only way to keep them from dragging her against me. My fingertips buzzed as I took her in. “I don’t need an answer on any of the kink stuff immediately. Truly. Even if you said no, I’d still want to be your friend. I know men say that sometimes, but I mean it.”

Madi studied me for a moment, but then nodded. “Okay. I think I already know my answer, but . . . let me give it a little more thought.”

“There’s no rush,” I said. “But if you want to talk more or plan something, just text me. Okay?”

“Okay. I will.”

“Unrelated to that, when you have a chance, send me your car insurance, if you have it. I’ll take care of the rest.”

Madi frowned. “Why would you take care of it?”

“I’m the mechanic.”

Her mouth dropped. “Wait. Oh my god. How long were you going to let me bad mouth you the other day?”

I grinned. “I have to stay humble somehow.”

She shook her head. “Well, your hands make more sense now.”

I wiggled my brows. “Oh, do they?”

“Rough. Calloused. Hot. I’ll see you later this week, Dallas.”

Madi turned and went up the stairs, disappearing from view once she took a left down the hall.

I immediately looked down at my hands.
