I was pretty sure I’d spent the rest of the day wet because of that message.
The crunch of gravel underfoot echoed behind me. I spun around, but immediately relaxed when I spotted Madi.
Holy fuck.
She was stunning. And very very naked aside from the crimson lace panties and bra that fit her just right. Every single thought vanished as she smirked at me, her brow arching in amusement.
“Cat got your tongue?”
“Yeah,” I choked out. “If by cat, you mean your pussy.”
She laughed as she yanked me close to her, planting a kiss on my lips. I melted into her, enjoying the way her tongue swiped against mine.
“Have you seen Dallas yet?” I asked.
She shook her head. “No, but I decided that I was too restless to wait for him. I'm sure he'll find us.”
I snorted. He absolutely would. It was just a matter of when.
“Have you done primal play yet?” I asked.
“Not yet. Well, not like this. I feel like we've gotten primal in the bedroom.”
“We have,” I agreed. “But running from him . . .”
How did I describe how different it felt? How did I tell her how feral it made me feel?
“It's a little different,” I said. “He's very serious about it. And rough. And it's perfect.”
She shivered next to me, her breath puffing out. “I’m nervous and excited.”
I nodded as I surveyed our surroundings again, turning to look back toward my house. I could see a light was on in the window, but it was so far that was really all I knew.
Both of us were wearing tennis shoes. That was good, especially if he was going to make us truly run.
“Be careful on the terrain,” I said. “And keep an eye out for anything on the ground. There are small cacti, but this area is mostly just grass.”
“Do I need to be worried about any bugs?”
“Uhhh . . . no . . . of course not . . . I'm sure it'll be fine.”
“That absolutely did not sound promising,” she said, slapping my ass.
More footsteps drew our attention and this time when we turned, we spotted him.
“Oh,” she whispered.
I swallowed hard. She felt it too. The way the air crackled with heat, the intensity Dallas had when he was in his dominant space. He was different when he was like this.
I took a step back. He took one forward. Another back, another forward.
“Are we sticking together?” Madi asked. “Or are we making this hard for him?”
“Make it hard for him. I want him to earn it,” I pitched my voice louder, making sure he heard us.
He did.
I cursed under my breath as he took off running, a squeal leaving my lips as we went in different directions. His curse echoing behind me had me laughing, which was a mistake.
