June arched once more, whimpering through her orgasm. I collapsed forward, catching my hands on the bed, my forehead resting against her chest.

She melted to the side, collapsing on the bed and panting. Madi wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me closer. I kissed her hard, but then relaxed on top of her.

“That was perfect,” Madi whispered.

“It was,” I agreed.

What I was feeling for both June and Madi went so far beyond the wordlike.I didn’tlikethem. They were the oxygen that kept me breathing, the sparks that kept me warm, the light spearing through my darkness.Girlfriendsdidn't sound serious enough. I wanted to tattoo their names on my ass and take their last name and buy a giant bed where the three of us could comfortably sleep.

No attachments, we’d agreed.

No feelings.

Friends with benefits.

It all felt like a curse now, and as I gently pulled out of her, all I could think to myself was that I was doomed.

CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE

Madi

The smell of bacon woke me up.

When my eyes cracked open, I was met with pink. I blinked a few times before I realized June was snuggled next to me. Her snores were soft and cute. I smiled, feeling warm and fuzzy as I looked at her.

This could be us every morning.

That thought was almost enough to make me spiral, but then her eyes slowly opened. The sleepy haze slowly cleared as she looked at me, and then she smiled.

“Good morning,” I whispered.

“Morning.”

I inched closer, winding my arms around her waist. She snuggled into me, breathing deep. I’d never felt this cozy before.Comfortable.Everything about waking up beside her felt like a dream.

Except . . .

Where was Dallas?

“It smells really good,” she mumbled sleepily. “The fact that he’s cooking means he’s in love.”

I grinned. She was definitely not fully awake yet, because I wasn’t sure I’d ever catch her saying something so bluntotherwise. She started to snore again, her body completely melting into me.

I sighed to myself and shut my eyes, basking in my time with her. Every moment felt precious the closer I got to leaving.

The door creaked open and I lifted my head. Dallas filled the doorway, shirtless. In gray sweatpants. With a tray in his hands, three plates on it.

“Oh my god,” I laughed.

“Somehow, this tray of breakfast appeared magically,” he said. “With coffee, pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I don’t know what happened.”

“Why are you being so loud?” June mumbled.

“He made us breakfast,” I chuckled, giving her a gentle nudge.

“Actually, the breakfast fairies made this.”

“Uh-huh.”
