“Wait, wait, wait.” I pull her from me and hold her face in my hands, taking deep breaths to keep from going over the edge. She strokes me, and I’m on edge again. I stop her hand with mine, the urge reduces me to begging. “Please, give me a sec.”
“Are you okay?”
“Yes. Very. But if you keep touching me, I’m going to embarrass myself.” Imagine coming two seconds after I’m inside her. Mortifying.
When my eyes open, I find her grinning at my struggle. “You’re that close when all you did was . . . do me?”
Being able to satisfy her, the person who makes me feel higher than anything else, is the ultimate gratification. “Yeah.”
She comes closer, pulling me into a lush kiss. Her tongue dances with mine, giving me more of her delicious flavor.
“This isn’t helping,” I say.
“Why would I help you deny yourself what you want?” Her lips are on mine again, her hand wrapped around me, stroking fast.
The blinding pleasure builds quickly, and I can’t stop it. My moan breaks the kiss, hot streams land on my stomach again and again, my eyes rolling. It’s over while I’m still wishing it would never end.
She keeps stroking me, teasing me, never giving me a chance to go soft. Then she reaches under her pillow and pulls out a metallic square. “It feels like you want more.”
“I do.” We may have different interpretations of that phrase.
She tears open the packet and rolls it onto me. I can’t stop staring at her, my breaths stuttering while I wait, anticipating. Straddling me, hands against the headboard on either side of my head, her body surrounds me and, as she slowly lowers, devours me.
She moves up and down, kissing me, drowning me in euphoria. “Is this good for you?” she asks, her answer scrawled across her beautifully tormented expression.
I shudder beneath her, my sense of self melting into a sensation that only she gives me.
I touch the soft skin of her every curve, reminding myself this is real. For this sweet, sweet moment, Bri, my dream, is here with me, and that’s all I need. “Yes.”

Liem is trouble. He’s everything I want yet nothing I deserve to claim.
Unexpected sunshine wakes me up. Liem’s head rests on my chest, his arm wrapped around my rib cage. We often wake up this way, Liem unintentionally becoming my heated blanket in the middle of the night. He sleeps so peacefully after leaving me a mess. Had I not been exhausted, I wouldn’t have been able to sleep last night. I wanted more. At least another round; however, one can only go so long at three in the morning after four orgasms between us. Maybe I’m getting old.
He doesn’t stir when I brush my hand over his head, feeling the soft curls turning to the stubble of his high fade. My thumb traces the arches of the beautiful lips I wish I could kiss without ruining his sleep and, soon after, his sheets. I’ve missed my friend. Having sex with him wasn’tnotthe plan, but I want to spend quality time with him too. I miss the days we could be close to each other while doingnothing.
Finally, his eyes open slowly. I’m not sure he’s awake until he says, “You’re here.”
“Where else would I be?”
“I don’t know. I was afraid I dreamt you up.”
“If you dreamt me up and chose to give me this uterus, I’d wreck your shit.”
He laughs, carefree and genuine. I love to see him smile. It hasn’t looked this way in a while. Not since the last time we were able to be careless in an apartment together.
We sit up, and my pelvic region screams at me. Whatever my face is saying makes Liem grow serious. “Are you hurting?”
“A little, but I’ll be okay after we walk around a bit. What are we doing today?” I ask.
“Anything you want.”
As much as I want to pin him down on this mattress and feel him inside me again, that will come when he wants it to come. There’s a dirty joke in there somewhere, but I’m too hungry to think straight.
“I want brunch.”
