When everyone was out of the truck and safe I let Kema and Mecca know that the men behind me were theirs and since they wanted to be the Power Puff Girls they had better make sure My wife made it home safe. Without a word they grabbed Nova and Tyra’s hands and guided them to our men who formed a perimeter around them.
“What? Come on, he can't tell us what to do. We just saved the day?” Tyra grumbled.
“Girl shut the fuck up before his crazy ass put you in the trunk.” Nova shouted as the men led them out of danger over by the security shack.
Good, her eyes got big and she shut the fuck up. She must have remembered what happened to her administrator. I turned to my remaining men and yelled. “Kill ‘em all.” There were about eight, maybe nine-armed men left, so with the twins behind me I headed to front of the SUV and as soon as Sabrina’s men paused to reload, we got into position and opened fire taking out the first five. The screams of the captives and groans of dying men were muffled by one of them trying to call for back up on his radio but he was shit out of luck. Because Blue had every radio and cell tower out here on lock.
It was time to take down the rest of those muthafuckas. We had shit to do. We continued to fire, making sure to not shoot through the back of the trucks, and accidentally injuring any of the women. We fired until gun smoke damn near blocked our view of the dock and everything was silent except for Sabrina’s maniacal laugh.
“Damn baby. If I knew you missed my pussy this much. I would have come back sooner.” Sabrina laughed, like my wife wouldn’t put a hot one in her ass.
Her laughter was cut short by a loud explosion that rocked the yard when the metal gate leading to the main road was destroyed. Sabrina’s yelling changed from angry snarls to high pitched screams of fear as bullets started raining down all around her.
“Who the fuck is that?” I roared.
“Oh shit. Take cover, take cover. We got four black SUVs coming through the gate.” One of the men at the front yelled. “We’ve got several men down. We’re pulling back and headed to your location to lay down cover fire.”
“It’s Kyle’s father’s men.” Blue yelled at me.
“This bitch got everybody trying to kill her ass.” Black said.
“Crew help me.” Sabrina called out.
“The fuck. I know that bitch just didn’t call you for help.” Nova yelled over all the chaos. They were headed out of the side exit with my men, but I could hear her ass clear as day. She must have snagged one of their headsets, nosey ass.
I didn’t need this shit right now in the middle of a fucking gun fight. We needed Sabrina, that’s the only reason I was about to help her get out of here alive.
“Take that old ass nigga out, while I get that bitch.” I yelled over the radio.
Shouts of death and pain were all around me as I ran around the truck to the car where Sabrina was huddled. Her men wereall dead and nothing but me and mine stood between her and an early death. Everything in me wanted to end this here and squeeze the life out of her but I refrained. I still needed her as a bargaining chip. The look on her face was pure terror, but I could see the manipulation behind it and that shit wouldn’t work on me. She was here to traffic innocent women into the sex trade but here she was sitting before me looking like the woman that left me all those years ago.
“Hey baby. Miss me?” She cooed.
This bitch was crazy. I kept my gun on her until I was able to get her hands zip tied behind her back. From there I could see the last SUV crawling to a stop with smoke coming from the engine. The driver has several gunshot wounds to the face and the man who caused all this last-minute drama sat next to him bleeding from his mouth and ears. I dragged Sabrina up by her hair and walked over to Black and Blue’s side who were standing next to the smoking SUV.
“Mr. Harris. You don’t look so good.” I smirked “Got tired of Valdez killing ya family huh?”
“Fuck you.” He panted. “You’re a dead man walking.”
“Nah you got it wrong. Ya son’s a dead man. And oh, how did I forget so is ya daughter. She’s dead too, right? Well at least you gon have company on the other side.” I said taking the hunting knife from my thigh and stabbing him in the throat severing his carotid artery. “Tell ya kids I said hello.” His head lulled to the side as he gurgled and died, eyes wide open.
I pulled the blade from his neck before placing the blooded knife back onto my thigh. I had just ended a man’s entire legacy, most sane people would feel bad but not me. I would erase a niggas whole blood line behind my family.
“Put that bitch in the trunk.” I growled. Fuck this shit I was goin’ to get my wife home.
Chapter 6
Nova
With efficiencyand speed Black and his team cleared the truck depot of the carnage that was left behind from the gunfight that we were just involved in. Half the men handled the cleanup with the other half assisted with the transportation of the women to the secondary location Kema and Mecca had selected. Anesia and August had been nice enough to help with it by putting them up in one of their properties in Brookview until they could be reunited with their families. When the chaos was cleared Crew loaded us up in a sprinter van that had been parked close, while Black and Blue bound and gagged Sabrina and threw her into the trunk of another SUV.
The ride back was painfully quiet, the type of quiet that reminded you of that ride home on the bus after your teacher called home to tell your mom you had been showing your ass at school. I had that same anxiety riding in this van with Crew’s crazy ass. I was far from afraid of my husband, but Crew had a way of intimidating people and right now he had me sweating bullets. He had told us that we weren’t allowed to help with getting Sabrina, but we couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. And now my ass was sitting back here looking like a sad puppy.
I kind of wished Crew would have snapped and yelled at us because this silent treatment was the worst. It was killing me.
“Here, take this.” Tyra whispered, pushing her taser into my lap.
“Tyra? What the fuck am I supposed to do with this?” I asked.
