“It’s too fast,” he grunts.
“It might seem that way, but think about it like this. They aren’t going to break up and they will keep each other happy forever.”
He laughs again and kisses the top of my head. “I’m sorry that they’re creating drama.”
I think he’s the one that created the drama, but I would never say that out loud. So instead, I turn to him and place my head on his chest. I wish he was naked. Then I could suck his nipples for a change.
Actually, that sounds great, so I move his shirt up.
“What are you doing, boy?” His words are stern but playful.
“Relaxing.” I lick his nipple to get it hard.
“I’m not sure that this is relaxing.” He gasps when I latch on and start suckling him. He huffs a laugh. “You know Daddy doesn’t have any milk for you.”
I nod. He gives a resigned sigh and lays his head back down. His fingers rub through my hair as I relax. This is so nice. Maybe I’ll take a quick nap.
Daddy tenses when the door creaks open, but when the fluffiest white cat I’ve ever seen jumps onto the bed, I can’t help my gasp.
“Kitty!”
She meows.
“There she is! I’m so happy to meet you, pretty girl.” Daddy holds out his hand. She climbs up the bed and sniffs it before she sniffs my hand and then walks up Daddy’s body to lie on his chest. She nuzzles his chin with her head and starts purring as we both gently pet her silky fur.
“Soft,” I say.
“The softest,” he agrees.
We lie there quietly before I start to smell something wonderful.
“Those sneaky bastards,” Daddy grumps.
“What?”
“He’s making my favorite cookies to lure me out.”
“Cookies?”
“But I’m still mad.” His words don’t have any bite to them.
“It’s okay to be mad sometimes.”
“This is just so huge, and my dad fought for him. He’s never been confrontational; he usually rolls his eyes at me or shrugs and lets it go.”
“Then he must be serious.”
Daddy nods, and I can see him thinking, so I focus on the gorgeous kitty next to me. She is truly the most beautiful cat I’ve ever seen. With her big green eyes and fur so thick she looks like a puffball with ears.
I scratch her chin. She tilts her head up and looks content as her eyes close.
“Dad is right.” Leo sighs. “He’s done so much for me and my mom, and Izzy, and I’m grateful…” He runs his slim fingers down Winter’s back. “I should apologize.”
“Good Daddy.”
“How about we get up and get some cookies?”
I gasp. “You can’t get up!”
