“Now I can make you both happy,” Izzy chimes in and then realizes how that sounds. “I didn’t mean in like that, well, not for you, but for Daddy.”
“You’re making it worse, baby.” Dad kisses the top of his head, and he nods.
“I’ll shut up now.”
Pet names, head kisses, and snuggling.
“How long has this been going on?”
“It just started this week,” Dad answers.
“So you’ve what? Been trapped together and couldn’t wait to have sex for a week, so you turned to each other?” I snap.
“It’s not like that.” Dad tries to explain, but I’m not hearing it.
“Yeah, you know I haven’t had sex in like four months,” Izzy adds.
“Don’t talk about sex,” I grumble and rub my temples. “He’s my dad and it’s weird. He’s like fifty.”
“Forty-four,” Izzy cuts in.
“I’m over thirty,” Whit adds helpfully.
“Whose side are you on?” I growl.
“No one’s.” He backs off.
“Izzy is hurt. You can’t take advantage of him in his vulnerable state. He wants a Daddy, and you’ve been playing along. Giving him false hope,” I continue.
“It’s not false,” Izzy shouts. “He’s my Daddy, and he takes care of me, and I take care of him.”
“How are you taking care of him with one hand?”
Izzy blushes now. “I didn’t mean sexually.”
“But you are having sex?”
“It didn’t start out as sex, but helping him with his—” Izzy shuts his mouth.
Helping him with what?
Oh hell no.
“You told him?” I turn and hiss at Dad. “The one secret that you made me promise to never tell anyone and you told him. You didn’t even tell me. I had to walk in on you to even know.”
“We were trapped in the house, and I didn’t have time to go home before I rushed to the hospital. And no, I didn’t tell him, he noticed.”
“And then you started fucking. You’re straight, you don’t just go gay.”
“Don’t try to label my sexuality when you don’t know what I’m feeling or thinking.”
“And when you’re tired of him, then what? I need to decide between the two of you.”
“I won’t—” Dad cuts himself off, and I can tell he’s close to losing his shit, but I’m already there.
“I just can’t believe that you went and did this without asking me or even telling me. How could you be so fucking selfish?”
“Selfish? I gave my whole life to you and your mother. I’ve never once had anything for myself, and now when I find someone that makes me happy, you call me selfish.”
