The one person who will never judge me, and only wants me to be happy.
But I lied to him.
I don’t like him, I love him. I always have, and he knows that, but it’s always been a platonic love, but not anymore.
CHAPTER 26
Asher
My phone rings with a FaceTime call while I’m in the middle of my bicep curl reps. I see Rae’s name, and that’s the only reason I stop to answer. Everyone else can fuck off.
She asked if I wanted to come to the Dragons’ hockey game tonight, but I had about a million other things I would rather do. Include watching paint dry. Nothing like watching a bunch of guys get to do the thing they enjoy doing while I’m stuck here miserably recovering and can’t do the same.
I set the weight down before picking up my phone and sliding the screen to answer. Rae’s gorgeous face fills my screen, and I grin at the sight.
“Hey, good girl,” I greet.
“Are you naked?”
“You wish I was.” I pan the camera to show that I’m just shirtless, but sweatpants hang low on my hips.
I don’t miss that hitch in her breath as I move the camera back up. I have a good body, I know she enjoys it. We’re both good looking people, no shame in both of us getting to enjoy it.
“Your turn,” I tease.
“I-I’m not alone.” She pans the camera to the side to showGrayson sitting next to her on a couch I don’t recognize and I give them both an unimpressed look.
“You’ve got your puppy dog, why’d you call me?” I ask, harsher than I intend to.
I faintly hear Grayson grumble something about not being a puppy dog in the background, but he has yet to prove me wrong, so I’ll keep saying it.
“Because I wanted to,” she says confidently, and that has me almost impressed. I saw how she lit up taking control a little bit when the three of us were together. She liked it. There’s a fire in her, and I’m enjoying bringing it out more and more.
I drop back on my own couch, sinking into the cushions. “Is it because Grayson doesn’t do a good enough job unless I’m around talking you through it? Nothing to be ashamed of, bud, some guys just don’t have it.”
He shakes his head off to the side of the screen. “Such a fucking asshole. Want me to prove how not true that is?”
“Hold on.” Rae fills my screen again. “If this is going to work you two have to kind of get along.”
I smirk, stretching my right arm up while my left holds my phone in my lap, tilted up so she can see the bare top half of my body. I’m not technically trying to distract her or anything. It’s just a fun side effect to see her stutter and get all nervous.
“Ifwhatis going to work?” I question.
“Um, all of us.” Her cheeks get pink, that same way she does when she’s turned on and practically fucking herself onto me. I’m almost too distracted to register what she just said.
“All of us?” I ask.
“Y-yeah, like together. I want…you both.”
“Isn’t that kinda what we’ve already been doing?” I smirk, not sure why we’re having this conversation. And especially not sure why we’re having it over a video call when I could be over there in a few minutes and we wouldn’t need to talk about anything other than how good she looks impaled on my cock.
Her face gets even more red. “I guess, but I mean like…officially…I guess.”
Grayson pulls her into his lap, and my fist clenches because I want to touch her so badly. It’s not jealousy I’m feeling, but it’s something and I want to be there.
“I’m coming over,” I announce.
“You don’t know where I live,” Grayson says.
