“I didn’t either,” I say softly. “But I can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
“We have somewhere to be.” The devilish smile he gives me has me breaking out in goose bumps.
“We do?”
“We do.” He cups my face and caresses his thumbs across my cheeks. “I need to celebrate with you properly.”
Leo helps me out of the car, and I straighten out my black cocktail dress. I was told the dress code was black tie, so I dug out my Dior floor-length dress. It has a fitted lace bodice bodysuit with thin satin straps, but the skirt is almost see-through, making me feel elegant and sexy. My hair is tied up in a high ponytail and my makeup is minimal, but I have painted my lips a deep pillar box red.
“You’re playing with fire with this dress and those lips, baby,” Leo whispers in my ear as we walk down the sidewalk. I grin up at him, but my smile falters when I take in the large black door we have stopped in front of. There is no number and no business name, just a huge gold door knocker and no handle.
“Leo, where are we?”
“Enigma.” He kisses my exposed shoulder before using his fingers to gently tilt my face up to his. “We don’t have to do anything you don’t want. Do you still want to do this?”
“Yes,” I rush out, swallowing deeply. “I want to do this.”
“Christ.” He releases a long breath before cupping the back of my head and crashing his lips to mine. “You’re too fucking perfect,” he whispers against my lips, before he tucks me into his side and raps his knuckles on the imposing black door. It swings inwards and a man in his forties appears, smartly dressed in a tux, and pulls out an iPad. “Membership number?”
“Six, eight, nine, six,” Leo says calmly and the man types on his iPad before motioning with two fingers for us to enter.
“This way.” He turns and guides us inside, the door clicking quietly behind us. “You need to sign your guest in, Mr. Brent, and hand in all devices,” he says before heading back up the corridor.
A stunning redhead smiles broadly at both of us from behind the ornate reception desk. “Good evening, Mr. Brent.” Gathering a black folder, she offers it to me as she continues, “Would you mind filling out these forms, Miss—-”
“Mrs. This is Mrs. Brent, my wife.” Leo kisses my cheek, my skin instantly heating at his blatant claim of me.
“My apologies, Mrs. Brent, welcome to Enigma.” Leo takes the sleek black folder and begins to fill it out. “Would you mind placing your phones in this box?” She presents a slim wooden box, and I place my phone inside, and once Leo has finished, he places his inside as well. She locks the box and hands Leo the key. “Enjoy your evening.” She smiles warmly before saying, “There is also a performance in the black room this evening.” Leo nods and we move past the desk and through a heavy black curtain where all the air in my lungs is knocked clean out of me.
The space is dimly lit with a bar that spans the full length of the room. Large crystal chandeliers hang above it with the bar staff dressed in golden dresses or white shirts and pants with suspenders. There are tables placed around the room adorned with black tablecloths and individual lamps, and leather black booths are spaced around the sides of the room. The room oozes sex, sensuality, and desire. The jazz band strikes up and the room springs to life as the wait staff dances, and there are a few staff members who dance on the bar.
“Let’s get you a drink,” Leo says, and my heart thumps faster as we move toward the bar.
“I can’t believe I’m here.”
“Me neither, baby.”
“It’s not what I expected,” I say as Leo pulls a stool out for me and asks for two glasses of Macallen.
“What did you expect?”
“No idea.” I nervously laugh. “It’s so normal.”
“There are different areas, different rooms.” The server puts two glasses down on the bar and walks away. “This is the gold room. It's where most start the evening; some just come here to relax and unwind. It's all discreet; no devices means total anonymity. There is also the blue room which is for people who like to watch and be watched. It’s dubbed ‘the front row’ as there is nowhere to hide and you can see everything.” My body heats and I shift on my stool at the picture he’s painting. But my blood simmers in my veins when he leans in, his voice low and dominant. “Then there’s the black rooms.”
Chapter 51
Leo
“What are the black rooms?” Ria asks, her irises blown wide, and I rest my hand on her thigh, caressing the muscles that tense underneath my touch.
My body is vibrating with energy and anxiety as I sit in the room I’ve sat in many times before and wished it was Ria sitting beside me. When she came downstairs in that dress, I almost decided against this and stayed in, but it was her red lips that were painted for danger and lust that had my brain patting me on the back for planning this evening. The image I have of my beautiful wife on her knees in this club designed for sin, the stain of that lipstick coating my cock, is a fantasy I want to come true. She looks uncertain, but also by the way her chest is rising and falling, I know she’s turned on. She wants this, but how far canI take her? I’ll never push her further than I know she can take, but tonight could open her eyes and may be too much for her to handle.
Or it could be exactly what she’s been missing.
Taking a sip of my scotch, I wet my lips. “The black rooms are where you can create any scene you want.” Widening my legs, I settle her in between them and place both hands on her thighs, rubbing slowly but not too high. “And what I want tonight is to control your pleasure.”
“Fuck, that’s hot,” she whispers, her voice shaky as she grabs her drink and takes a large gulp.
