“I wasnotscreaming,” she says, horrified.

“It’s actually impossible to make you come without making you scream,” I say, which earns me a playful slap on the arm.

“Daddy!”

Fiona fights a smile. “Maybe we should test that theory, daddy.”

My cock is still buried inside her, but I can already feel it starting to thicken at the challenge in Fiona’s eyes.

This side of her, the one that pushes buttons I didn’t know I had, is addictive.

“You’re walking a very thin line,” I warn as I move my hips, letting her feel what she’s doing to me.

“DAD!”

“Fuck,” I groan.

I know this is supposed to be a family getaway, but right now, I would give anything to stay right here with Fiona and continue our sex marathon.

However, I force myself to roll off her and get dressed, though I keep my attention firmly on her, wanting to soak up as much of this moment as possible.

Fiona sits up, her blonde hair falling around her bare shoulders, and pulls the sheets around her.

This is the part I’ve craved the most. Not the hot sex in my office atSullivan Investmentsor the tight skirts she would wear to entice me. It’s this. Seeing her look so raw and vulnerable, with her lips still swollen from my kisses and her skin flushed from my touch.

“You’re staring,” she says softly, a teasing edge to her voice.

“Just…noticing,” I mutter, my voice gruff. “It’s been a while.”

She smiles faintly, her cheeks burning even more, and I want nothing more than to close the distance between us entirely.

“DADDYYYYY!”

“Coffee?” she suggests.

“I think we’re going to need it.” I sigh, and Fiona laughs.

Once we finish our breakfast, Fiona helps Scout gather his swim trunks and towel, and we make our way to the indoor pool where the scent of chlorine and warm steam greets us.

The pool is enormous, with high wooden beams covering the ceiling, a roaring fire in the corner, and floor-to-ceiling windows that give us a perfect view of the frozen lake outside.

For a brief moment, I allow myself to exhale.

Though Scout quickly shatters it as he launches himself into the pool with a squeal, sending a cascade of water over the edge.

Fiona hovers by the pool steps. “Are you coming?”

“I just need to check in with my brothers.”

She hesitates for a second, as if she’s deciding to ask me something. But then she decides otherwise and takes the steps into the pool to join Scout.

I sit myself down on the edge and let my feet dangle in the water so I can half keep an eye on Scout as I check through my messages. But considering there aren't many, I mostly just watch Scout and Fiona play.

A few days ago, I would have considered myself insane for thinking we could ever be this normal again, and yet here we are, acting so domestically it’s almost laughable.

Maybe I should send Lorcan a gift basket for inadvertently giving us this time together. Not that I would ever actually do it, but the thought lingers as a faint, bitter joke in my mind.

Scout yells something about racing Fiona across the pool, and I watch her happily join in with every game he suggests without complaint.
