Page 20 of Securing Her Truth

All of the muscles in my body squeeze up tightly as I curl up into Easton, and then my whole world burns to the ground as I scream out my orgasm. Easton roars and sinks so fucking deep inside of me as his own release ravages his massive, muscled body. We cry out together and hold on to each other as we both fall into the very depths of pleasure.

After an eternity of intense, sharp ecstasy, I finally open my eyes. Easton is lying on his side next to me, drawing a line with his fingertips from my sternum to my belly button and back again.

“There you are,” he whispers, nuzzling into my neck and kissing me there. “How do you feel? Are you okay?”

I inhale a shaky breath and try to get my heart to stop thrashing around in my chest. Easton continues to drift his fingers over my skin, his touch bringing me back down to reality.

“Breathe for me, beautiful,” he says gently, pressing his lips to my temple. “That’s it. Good girl.”

With my breathing and heart rate finally under control, I turn toward Easton and take in his warm brown eyes, thick beard, and soft lips pulling up into a gentle smile.

I return his smile and bite my bottom lip. Easton grasps my chin in between his thumb and forefinger, gently tugging my lip from the grasp of my teeth so he can kiss me. It's slow and tender like we have a lifetime of moments just like this. As if reading my thoughts, Easton pulls back and rubs his nose up and down mine.

“What do you say, sweetheart? Are you ready to spend forever with me?”

Tears immediately spring into my eyes as I smile with all the love and gratitude I have in my heart. I nod my head vigorously, my smile growing bigger by the second.

“I’m gonna need to hear you say it, love,” Easton grins at me.

"Yes! Yes, I'll marry you!" The words are barely out of my mouth before Easton crashes his lips down on mine.

When we break apart, he chuckles and rolls onto his back, tucking me into his side. “Good to know I can get you to say yes to pretty much anything after giving you four orgasms.”

I roll my eyes playfully, which makes Easton bend down and kiss my eyelids. I sigh and snuggle up closer to him, letting my fingers roam over the hard muscles in his chest and abs.

“I have one more surprise for today,” I say softly. Easton gathers my hand up and presses his lips to my fingers before resting them over his heart.

“Never a dull moment around here, is there?” he says with a smile.

I take his large, calloused hand in mine, guiding it slowly down my abdomen until I press it flat against my stomach.

Easton freezes. His breathing hitches, and his deep brown eyes snap up to mine, wild and searching, trying to read the truth in my expression.

"Stella?" he breathes, the sound rough, edged with sudden, raw disbelief.

"We're having a baby," I whisper, a tear slipping down my cheek. Not out of fear, but of sheer, overflowing joy.

The fierce, untouchable alpha who breaks through walls and stares down armed cartels is completely brought to his knees by four simple words. His whole body trembles. He presses his forehead against mine, his eyes swimming with an ocean of raw, unfiltered devotion. Then, Easton buries his face against my stomach, kissing the warm skin there with a reverence that steals the last of my breath. He’s overwhelmed, undone, and entirely worshipful as he wraps himself around me like a shield and a sanctuary all at once.

“We’re having a baby,” he repeats as he strokes my skin reverently. “It’s everything. Everything I didn’t think I deserved. A wife, a child, a love so deep it aches to be apart.” I nod against his chest, placing a kiss over his heart.

We stay in our cocoon of happiness for hours, whispering softly into the dark, trading names for boys and girls, sketching out the bright, sunlit rooms of the nursery we’re going to build together.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful future, one that neither a hunted, desperate reporter nor a battle-hardened, isolated protector ever thought we’d be lucky enough to have. But as I look up into Easton’s burning brown eyes, I know we didn't just survive the storm. We won everything.

EPILOGUE

EASTON

Istand on the wide back porch of our estate, a warm mug of coffee in one hand as I look out over the sprawling lawn under a brilliant, sunlit sky.

Ten years ago, this very property was a heavily fortified compound designed to keep the dark, violent world at bay. It was a cage of concrete, steel, and isolation. Today, it’s alive. The air rings with the sound of pure, unbridled joy, laughter, and the chaotic energy of a home overflowing with life.

The backyard is packed with the familiar, beloved faces of our closest friends—Kai and Annika, Miller and Rya, Atlas and Kienna—who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us through the fire. Each couple has faced their own threats and come out stronger together. Over the last decade, our tight-knit security alliance has morphed into something far deeper: an unshakable extended family.

A chaotic, joyful pack of children, including our own little tribe, are tearing across the emerald-green grass, playing tag and screaming with laughter. A profound, chest-aching swell of pride fills me as I watch them. The dangerous, cutthroat world my brothers-in-arms and I fought so brutally to dismantle meansthat these kids will never know the shadow of fear. They will only ever know safety, freedom, and absolute love.

Down on the patio, us men are gathered around the grill, trading our usual low grumbles about meat temperatures and yard work while looking completely soft, whipped, and utterly devoted as we watch our wives. A few yards away, the women are lounging together in the sun, laughing and swapping fond, emotional memories of the wild, high-stakes ways we all collided over the past ten years. They shake their heads, marveling at how far we’ve all come from the hunted targets we used to be.
