“For what?” Jericho asked.

“Prostitution at Blue Suit, first degree arson, and attempted murder,” Carrera said.

“What the hell?” Prescott blurted.

“She wanted to get back at Slash, so she torched Elsa’s house, hoping she’d die in the fire,” Carrera continued.

“Pure evil,” Jericho said.

“That’s fucked up,” Hawk said.

Stryker opened a bottle of chilled champagne and poured bubbly into seven flutes. With glasses in hand, they toasted the groom.

“To Cooper,” Stryker said. “We love you, brother, and we wish you the best.”

“Happy wife, happy life,” Hawk said.

“Amen to that,” Jericho added.

The men clinked glasses and sipped the champagne.

“Thanks for standing up for me,” Cooper said to the group. “We’ve had each other’s backs for a long time, known each other even longer.” He raised his glass. “To my brothers.”

They tapped flutes.

“How’s everyone taking your promotion at the Bureau?” Cooper asked.

“Most don’t know,” Carrera replied. “Peter Hirzog is furious.”

“Why would he care?” Rebel asked.

“Career agent.” Carrera flashed a smile. “I took his office.”

Jericho draped his arm over Carrera’s shoulder. “Bro, why do you always poke the bear?”

“Because he can,” Prescott said, and the group cracked up.

As the guys got ready, Carrera wondered how long he’d wait before he asked Slash to marry him.

“How long did it take you guys to know you’d found your person?” Carrera asked.

“I knew the minute I saw Brit,” Rebel answered.

“I loved Addison before I was ready to love anyone again,” Hawk replied.

“Are we talking about Slash here?” Jericho asked.

“Yeah.” Carrera tugged on an undershirt, pulled his tuxedo shirt from the garment bag. “I’d marry her today?—”

“Join us,” Cooper said.

“Tonight?” Carrera asked.

“He’s getting married in an hour,” Stryker said. “He doesn’t know what he’s saying.”

The guys laughed.

“I appreciate the offer, Coop,” Carrera said, “but I’m gonna marry her on one of my cruise ships.”
